  1. A noisy 9k will be better than heaps of day outers going anyway. how pathetic was the atmosphere at the league cup final when we had 40k “fans” compared to the atmosphere at Tynecastle for the semi when we had about 12k or something. fuck you I refuse to accept that was over 10 years ago
  2. 2 million to Ipswich then leaves them to sign for Real Madrid on a bosman
  3. shite news for him, shite news for us and shite news for Scotland. Can only hope he comes back stronger next season. Captaining a side like that potentially to champions league in Italy has been insane. He could have been megabucks this summer. every chance Motta leaves and Bologna are pish next season and Ferguson isn’t as effective. Seems very possible, we’ve been incredibly unlucky with Ryan Fraser and Scott mckenna not being sold on. SHITE
  4. Yeah I’m sure clubs will look at that example and think wow what a bargain that was!
  5. “International level” is a funny one isn’t it. You can go away on an international break and on the Friday you are playing against mbappe and griezemann and then on the Tuesday you can be playing against a PE teacher and a joiner. Macedonia tend to be in the pot closer to the joiner. He’s a class act though. So I agree - 5 mil + add ons is surely the least we’d accept
  6. Not forgetting those signings, I did reference it in my post. but fair enough post. Maybe somewhere in between is required. I just don’t think we need to buy a whole new defence midfield attack in one window. And if we do, I think it’ll be a fucking shambles. excited to see which type of shambles we go for this time
  7. I think it’s naive to want to sign 10 players using the data in one window and expecting it to be anything other than a fucking shambles. I think there is every chance we WILL sign about 10 - but if we do I expect there to be 6 or more who are like Morris, Richardson, Gueye, mcgarry or Israeli man. Why not just focus on 3 or 4 key areas and get the a manager to have a proper look? We don’t need a whole new defence McKenzie and devlin will do next season. Few key signings and we are easily beating killie / st mirren etc. we don’t need to push the old firm in one window. Look at when Sir Derek came in. Aberdeen had finished 9th 9th 9th 8th and were dire. Signed Robson and Flood and what a difference they made. He was still having to play likes of Shaughnessy, Robertson, Low, Magennis in the meantime. added Rooney and Logan in January. Taylor added in summer, McLean in January. Shinnie the next summer. not saying that’s all he signed by any means!! There were some shockers along the way. My point is we need to be patient. Not every problem can be solved in 1 window. Otherwise we’ll blow our money paying off players, bringing in a few equally shit replacements, then sack Thelin in March cause everyone has shat their pants again. anyway not up to us so let’s see. Still time for it to be John Hughes yet
  8. We’ll see what happens. Based on 30+ seasons of watching Aberdeen, if we signed 10 players in summer I’d be happy and surprised if as many of 5 of them are good. Would also have the matter of moving on several players, probably having to pay them off. Or just add a few players, pay them more cause save money not paying anyone else off and BUILD the team. goalie, centre back, centre mid & at least 1 winger. I don’t think miovski will leave in summer. I don’t think we’ll get any decent bids as his value has probably dropped. We’ll see!
  9. The good news is it won’t be me making the decision in summer. Or you. But I think to expect us to sign a whole new team in the summer is incredibly unrealistic. We aren’t Chelsea 2003. We have a lot of player under contract that we will need to work with. Many of which could perform at a better level than what they’ve shown this season. a few additions would make all the difference. Look at the team sir Derek inherited. He took over a club who had finished 9th, 9th, 9th, 8th. Brown made some good signings but couldn’t get anything out of them. I’m hoping it’s the same. mcinnes’ Scottish cup final team is generally regarded as his best side - that took 4 years to build. To expect thelin to buy a whole new team in 1 window, his first in Scotland, would likely result in a lot of shit signings. You are literally wanting Aberdeen to repeat what they have done the last 3 summers.
  10. Disagree and I hope that’s not what we are going to see for the 4th summer window in a row cause it’ll be a shambles. We need to take our time. A complete rebuild in one window is the same script yet again - and when it doesn’t work in a few months you will all shit yourselves and so will Dave Cormack. we have loads of players who would walk into any team from hearts downwards. miovski, duk, clarkson, mcgrath, shinnie, McKenzie, devlin, macdonald - jury out a bit but possibly sokler, ruby & Jensen too. All signed up for next season. instead of signing about 10+ players I’d love it if we just signed 3 or 4 who can make a difference.
  11. Does that really matter for taking a manager? Doesn’t mean we are taking all their players.
  12. That part of the country has been getting battered with rain non stop since October it feels like. It’s time for Brechin, Montrose, Arbroath, Forfar and down to Dundee to quite simply float away. Thank you for your service. Now drown
  13. I remember hearing that was the intention. Tbf we’ve had less loan signings this season…. But not much sighting of youngsters. its a shame we lost a very long record of always having a home grown player in the team. Especially when those in the team at a home grown players expense have likely been shite
