#1884971 Aberdeen 1 - 0 Dumbarton

Posted by dj_bollocks on 07 January 2020 - 06:31 AM

If they've fucked off to Dubai for their "mid season training camp" and then he rocks up at home, against Dumbarton with 7 defenders and 1 up front McInnes can get fucked. If there's not 2 up front and they're not spending the next week figuring out how best that might work then what's the fucking point ? This 2nd half of the season should be about playing more attractive attacking football, this fucking jolly should be about preparing for it. Otherwise, fuck off back to Cormack Teddy Scott Park and don't waste our time and money.

#1876613 Stewart Milne's Legacy

Posted by dj_bollocks on 20 December 2019 - 05:53 AM

Stewart Milne has said that he had no choice but to bankroll the club when it hit hard times during his tenure after his replacement, Dave Cormack, revealed this week that his predecessor would contribute up to £100,000 a season over several years when the club was running low on funds.

He will get his money back when Pittodrie is demolished and his company build flats on the site.

£100k... Pfft. What's that 0.0067% of £15 million turnover ? It's almost like Cormack is surreptitiously trolling Milne here...

The question I ask of the joyous gesticulators is: What do you think we've not yet seen from McInnes that suggests he's got anything more to give to take AFC forward ?

We've seen his entire repertoire of tricks such as they are... He's got nothing new to offer. And yet here we are having given him a new contract with out a ball having been kicked this season, like the fucking numpties we are.

#1865682 Cormack Thread

Posted by dj_bollocks on 27 November 2019 - 05:21 AM

That you wouldn't travel 8 miles to go and watch the Dons play baffles me...

With apologies to the pubs that depend on current match day punters but I'd rather be getting pissed up and the profits going to fund the next Cosgrove or Ferguson...

You mean I can go and have some decent scran there before/after a game that's not a chargrilled on the outside and undercooked on the inside pie ? Great sign me up.

I can go and watch 90 minutes of abject hoofball where the gaffer game manages the game at 54 minutes and then drops 2 points - I can do that now too !

Plenty fans want a match day experience and if you don't that's fine too - rock up at 2.55pm and fuck off at 4.40pm like you usually do to "avoid the traffic"...

Like fucking politics at the moment this is about creating a club experience that appeals to as many people as possible not just the individual customised set up that suits you...

People have short term memories.
Mcinnes has brought respectability to the club when he came.

If all you aspire to is "respectability" no wonder you seem overjoyed.

It's great that we're not Bottom 6 fodder anymore. We're where we should be, given the status quo of Scottish football is now back to normal. And now we should expect more than "respectability"... 21 years of Milne at the helm has conditioned some fans that "respectability" is all we deserve or should expect. It's not. I don't expect to win the league (yet) but I do expect better than getting scudded by 4 or 5 from you know who and I expect to do better in Europe which is the only way to improve financially in this modern era of football.

#1837239 Graeme Shinnie....

Posted by dj_bollocks on 22 September 2019 - 04:32 PM

It must be a tough one for footballers, at the end of the day you need to look after your family and it is a short career.

Imagine the dilemma if the Huns came in for you and quadrupled your wages, what the fuck would you do. Genuinely don’t think I would go or if I did just take their cash and play shit.

You would hope that you had a half decent agent able to go "The Weegie filth want to quadruple his wages but he wants to play for a team in England rather than those tax dodging c*nts" and let the magic happen... Far far bigger teams than the arsecheeks playing in far far more competitive leagues... The money's just bigger in Engerlund...

These mythic training facilities that are going to attract a better player... I'm not saying they won't be influential in a player wanting to come and play for us but the bottom line will always be "How much more are you going to pay me ?" Having a Dave Bus and Betrand Bossu training pitch at Cormack Park will make little odds to a player if they can get a grand extra a week somewhere else...

#1825190 Graeme Shinnie....

Posted by dj_bollocks on 21 August 2019 - 05:22 AM

BBC said earlier he was injured. Anyway, the two following seemingly contradictory statements may be true:

1) We are currently missing his drive and energy

2) We should be aiming for better quality than Shinnie if we want to progress

Not really contradictory in my opinion...

1) We are missing his drive and energy but most importantly I think his leadership. He was well placed to get stuck in and get in and about everyone.

2) We should be aiming for the best quality of player but as we've seen what we can attract is quite far away from what we'd like to be able to afford. Shinnie's still a decent benchmark of what a Dons player should be like. He's be welcomed back but I suspect he's got a few months of misery before they decide to release him of loan him to a club that will be able to subsidise some or most of his wages...

#1821627 Dundee 1 - 2 Aberdeen

Posted by dj_bollocks on 15 August 2019 - 01:13 PM

Be interesting to see what team DMc plays here I guess based on the result against HNK Rijeka...

If we're through then resting some players for the next round, if we're out then strongest team possible...

Either way I suspect it'll be the usual 4-2-3-1 with Main starting up front if Cosgrove is injured...

Posted by dj_bollocks on 09 August 2019 - 05:36 PM

Aye, really sucked "baws" playing 1 up front and winning 5-0 the other week....

Aye we weren't 2 goals down from the first leg then either you absolute fanny...

#1818044 Aberdeen 0 - 2 HNK Rijeka (Agg 0-4)

Posted by dj_bollocks on 09 August 2019 - 01:19 PM

Thought I better get this started...

Massive massive match... If DMc plays 1 up from the start he can get fucked...

                     Lewis

Logan - Devlin - McKenna - Leigh

                       Ojo

Gallagher - Ferguson - Hedges

           Wilson - Cosgrove

I mean 4-4-2 would work too... but if he just plays 1 up front that would suck baws....

#1815340 The Mckenna Dilemma

Posted by dj_bollocks on 06 August 2019 - 07:10 AM

You'd like to think this will be sorted pronto however DM doesn't have a great history of sorting this kind of stuff out quickly. The Rodent, Shinnie and GMS transfer sagas all trailed on forever. Here's hoping it's sorted quickly this time.

DMc doesn't have to do anything. McKenna will be picked and playing on Thursday unless an appropriate offer is made. Go on strike ? Refuse to play ? Not exactly doing your chances of a move any good are you... To QPR or Notts Forest pay the fucking money and you can have him... if not shut the fuck up and jog on.

#1810369 Aberdeen 5 - 0 Chikhura Sachkhere (6 - 1)

Posted by dj_bollocks on 29 July 2019 - 05:14 AM

Ideally,

                          Lewis

Logan - Considine - McKenna - Leigh

                       Bryson

McGinn - Gallagher - Ferguson - Maclennan

            Anyone but Cosgrove

Or if DMc's finally found his knackers...

                          Lewis

Logan - Considine - McKenna - Leigh

McGinn - Gallagher - Ferguson - Maclennan

                  Main - Wilson
