Only person using the word "bent" here is you.

All they've done with that LGBQXYZ+ thing is, taking your example above, changed "bent" to an acronym with every other sexual persuasion that isn't straight.  You used to be straight, Gay/Lesbian or BI,  but now that they've come up with some niche sexual persuasions of a few people, instead of just giving them their own  individual label, they've went "Let's bundle everyone else together who isn't straight" into one category.  

They've done the same thing with Race as well.  You've got BAME, which is essentially just "everyone who isn't white".  I find it all to be a bit counterintuitive in this day and age. We're trying to be a more inclusive society and yet creating all these exclusive groups at the same time, thus creating divide.
