First time I ordered Steak Tartare (probably only 18 at the time) I did it to impress an ex and had nae clue as to what it actually was thinking it was a steak with a fancy sauce on the side. As the chef began preparing it in front of us I remember wondering where and when he was going to start cooking it and stared in disbelief as he served it up raw on my plate. Thanked him, pretend I knew what it was all about and nervously proceeded to eat a small piece before thankfully loving it! Not something you see on menus these days unfortunately. Link to comment
