So do I. Was walking up George street the other day, early for an appointment. Thought I’d nip into one of these new cafes that keep popping up, for a coffee. Didn’t take fucking card. In the days of contactless, that’s very silly. Probably closed down within the year.

Fuck carrying cash.

If they're a new business and on a tight budget having the facility is maybe not cost effective for them.

Costs money to have the facility does it not.

I can see both sides of the argument though.

They cost about £20.

If you’re a new business and you’re making it hard for me to give you money - I’m just not going to do it.

Doesn’t cost much at all. Buy a machine and link it to your PayPal. If a self employed taxi driver can get it sorted, then any other business should offer it.

About 30 quid a month - and 4% of the transaction - which you can always pass on to the purchaser of course.

Point stands, no need not to have it.

Ridiculous that PATG option is not available.

As a club we should be trying to attract as many along to the games as we can to generate more income.

So we should pay to put folk on the turnstiles in the off chance folk want to pay cash?

What would the costs be to install chip and pin machines at each turnstile? Maybe the club has looked into this option and it's not feasible?

But we are told that it would cost a few quid and would make loads for the club so we should totally do it...

1 turnstile open for paying cash for an hour before the game. Some Young minimum wage person at it.

Keeps the punters wanting to pay cash happy and gives the young minimum wage person a couple of quid. Win/Win for everyone.

So for all the time, you'd be queuing, why would you not just go through to the ticket office where there's 3 folk selling tickets from 0930 in the morning?

Realistically, cash at the gate bypasses security.

I don't know if anyone has ever been banned from Pittodrie, but letting anyone pay their way into a stadium event with CATG is gone.

Has anyone else thought of that, or am I the only candidate for MENSA on here? I didn't read every single post.
