You gotta do what makes your girls happy.

If you don’t see them on the big day? It’s shite for you, but as shite as that is (and it is) you gotta just suck that shit up and do whatever it is so you can see them over the festive period, and do something to rock their world. You gotta take it casual though, but make sure they have the time of their lives.

That way, the girls are happy and you’re father of the year.

If not, buy some gaviscon, hire a limo and drive to the suburbs of Edinburgh.

Either way, document it heavily online for bored cunts trying to relive their youth, we all appreciate it.

This post started off as seemingly quite heartfelt and almost like the topic had struck a chord with you, then progressively devolved into classic dave_min territory. +1.

Hey absolutely son - wasnt asked out of any sort of confusion why you'd choose this path; just more if your resolve had been tested in any way.

Many a cunt lives by a similar mantra, but then - oh ho - along comes this lassie, that for whatever reason reduces you to a gibbering fool and causes you to do outlandish shit to maintain a relationship with her. Its no easy being free and single for life based on the messes some cunts get into over that one they cant leave behind.

I see my mates (poor cunts) settling down with a family in some shit village in a house/street that looks like millions of others - just because that’s what they think they have to do

Drive to work every day, drive back, watch tv, bed and repeat

That’s not a life (for me anyway)

My job allows me plenty time off to travel and a have a heck of a good time, and i’ll do that until I keel over.

Great post Mobby... you are not the only one who finds the thought of that life incredibly depressing!

Each to their own I reckon and if that's settling down in a nondescript estate with the wife and 2.4 kids or living a nomadic lifestyle enjoying the high life then as long as you are happy that's all that should matter.

Between my wife and I we have about 4 lots of friends who don't have children and indulge themselves in all manner of activities - from attempting to eat in every michelin star restaurant in the uk, building up a fuck off huge property portfolio or diving all around the world staying in luxury hotels. However despite these activities they all admit that they feel 'something' is missing from their lives and boredom is a massive factor to deal with. Appreciate that may not apply to every 'nomadic' couple out there like.

One of the couples recently spit as one of them announced that they did want children after all whereas the other was dead against it. Then again I have a couple of mates going through messy divorces who were married with kids so it can affect everyone regardless of thier personal circumstances or lifestyle choices.

Settling down, getting married and having kids will be without doubt one of the best but yet challenging and hardest experiences of your life and while I may not indulge in some of the activities that our 'nomadic' friends do, the wife and I certainly dont live in a nondescript housing estate, still have a healthy social life and travel with the kids on a regular basis, despite me having to do the daily commute and head to bed with a book regularly - but those aspects alone don't sum up who we are or how we live our lives.

Nae sure fit I am trying to say other than life is short so do whatever it is that makes you happy and enjoy it while you can. Even better if you can find a partner who enjoys the same stuff as you as well.

Right that's me back on the cans

Seems like quite a few on here have failed at relationships/full time parent and the defence mechanism is playing all billy big bollocks

Not at all. Some folk just have no interest in having kids. Personally, I find it bizarre that every cunt just seems does to have them without actually considering an alternative way of life. I know folk who were married with a kid by 21. Each to their own but they’ve not even really lived by that age.
