Work Christmas Night Out 2018?

What is (or was) your work christmas night out this year and was it any good?  Also reminisce regarding notable work christmas nights of yesteryear.

This year we went to Sapporro Teppanyaki (Ingram St) - japanese.  Then we went to the brew dog pub in merchant city.

I couldnt be arsed going and was angry I had agreed (months ago).  But I went and actually had a really great time.  We had the whole of a grill/table area to ourselves and the place was busy, so a great atmosphere.  The food was fantastic (and I was one of the stand outs who managed to catch the thrown piece of potato - ha).  I had tofu soup, squid tempura and then salmon togarashi (with sauteed potatos and egg fried rice), then strawberry ice cream.  And 3-4 pints over dinner.  Fantastic.

Years ago, i worked in an insurance office and went to one of those "office party" nights at the (then) moat house hotel.  My g/f also worked there and we went in a big group.  We had been drinking all day and I fell asleep in the taxi on the way to the night out.   I ate my traditional christmas dinner and perked up a bit.  Then I went to the toilet and spewed my ring down the front of my shirt, while sitting on the pan.  It made a big thick cowpat of sickness on the group, which leaked out under the door.  Someone was banging on the door urgently, but I just said nothing until they went away.  Then I snuck out, with my jacket done right up to the neck, stinking of spew.  We had to leave early and my g/f was raging.  Merry Christmas!

Good effort at the insurance job!!

Never ever do work socialising. Try not to have friendships there beyond the working environment. Even stopped sleeping with the young eens since creeping into the 30's.

Our een was the weekend just passed, a colleague of mine shagged the barman. I nodded in approval.

I put £60 on the table for a retirement party coming up on the 2nd Feb. For a good honest worker. Won't be there in person though.

In other words - Jealousy

Did anyone else read above but hear it in a dramatic Hollywood voice over kind of way...?

"Sylvester Stallone stars as Bad Mobby in the Hollywood tale of the nomadic single hellraiser living a sex, drugs, Rowies and rock and roll lifestyle.....

(Cut to clip of Sly squaring up to his boss in an office on a refinery in the middle of the dessert shouting)
