The Boofon
True fact my Gran's second husband was called Cesar Romero. He changed his name by deed poll when that was a thing.Unnecessary tautism. See “dirty hun scum” for reference. Link to comment
Poodler
Black'47. Worth a watch, ex soldier dishes out some brutal vengeance in Ireland during the famine. 8/10Toyed with watching that last night whilst she slept but opted for inception instead. Will get it watched later in week. Inception - great great film. No tits Link to comment
Ohjimmyjimmy
Inception is brilliant. Missus tried to watch it - did that thing they do where they’re not really watching and reading Daily Mail online or some such pish and then asks “what’s happening?”...”I don’t understand what’s going on”...”it’s too confusing”. Monty fuck woman. Link to comment
tiktak
Dragged Across Concrete. Oh where to start with this... Almost get the feeling that you're not meant to like this, they give so many reasons not to. 2hrs 40 mins for a kick off, the casting of Mel the racist, the whole political uncorrectness strewn throughout and it's a slow burn all the way. Essentially it's a bank robbery movie and although there was really plenty of scope to shorten it by about half an hour I still enjoyed it. Link to comment
looksgoodinred
BlacKKKlansman A Spike Lee film based on the true story of a black detective in the 70s who becomes a member of the KKK - in a way.I thought it was a good watch. Link to comment
elephantstone78
Aye raised a wee eyebrow when I heard the ad on the radio about this one; initially because I thought it was a remake of yon Dutch film, which is fucking aces. Great cast though - Peter mullan turning up all over these days the wee prickDid they not remake that with kiefer Sutherland as kidnapping guy. Was decent. Rutger hauer as original creepy guy Link to comment
tiktak
Jeff bridges was in the remake - a pile of fucking shite it were. No famous cunts of note in the original... Possibly the hitcher you're thinking of?Sean Bean was the remake creepy guy in The Hitcher. Link to comment

maryhilldon
What kind of films do you like?Nothing specific. Comedies, thrillers, true life survival, bit of sci-fi, cops and gangsters. No time for superheroes, zombies, werewolves etc. Childish nonsense imo. Link to comment
maryhilldon
Sci fi. Lol.Not like a good bit of sci-fi Grays? Something like Sunshine or 2001:A Space Odyssey? Link to comment

DD1903
So is that the last of the superhero films then? This end game one? Thank fuck if so.I don't mind some of the fillums, but because I haven't watched them all, I've no idea what is going on at times. Anyway, what I meant to say was - a boy at work was telling me that this is phase 3 of their films. Phase 4 starts soon. I have no idea what that means. Hope that clears things up Link to comment
Redforever86
Haven't watched any of them. A few mates on a group chat been talking about them, fuck me who cares. Link to comment
Poodler
Good grief there's more? There's about 3 hulk films and 3 Spider-Man films. Just churning them out for a quick buck. Think Django Unchained was the last time I went to the cinema and thought it was bloody great. Link to comment

There is, I think, 6 Spider-Man films. 3 different actors as there has been 2 reboots. There is a new one due soon - saw it advertised on IMDb Link to comment
tiktak
Can hardly blame them for churning them out though. $1billion over the opening weekend is a fairly good reason to keep them coming. Personally I hate them. Superhero, transformer stuff etc etc. Way too many for my liking. This year so far has been shit overall at the cinema IMO. My own attendance (and ye ken I go a lot) is way down on last year. Link to comment
The Buzzard
Went to see Endgame yesterday. Enjoyable enough but I thought it was all a bit of a jumble. There’s that many characters that they try to squeeze in that it’s all a bit jumbled and bloated, and about 30-40 mins too long. Link to comment
