Awayfromhomered
An old favourite, after a rewatch not quite as good as I thought. Book was pretty decent though. Link to comment
Clydeside_Sheep
Saw the latest James Bond movie on Amazon recently. Thought it was absolute pish, I cant even remember the name of it - thats how bad it was. Nearly 3 hours of a bore fest. Its long overdue that they return to the classic bond formula of an all-action wise-cracking womaniser, this woke stuff has got to go. Link to comment

I agree, the latest Double Woke 7 instalment was a huge disappointment, a mere box ticking exercise. I would best sum up the Daniel Craig era as "inconsistent"; he did two undeniable classics in Casino Royale and Skyfall, but which were both followed up by subpar Jason Bourne rip-offs, now this... It's also a bugbear of mine that, even at his best, the things Craig was praised for (most notably the serious, gritty interpretation closer to Ian Fleming's original character) are the very same things Timothy Dalton did long before him - and did better (of all the Bond actors, Dalton is the closest to Fleming's original novels) but was criticised for, mostly by Roger Moore fanboys. Tom Hardy is a fine actor, but for me would be a much better villain, so Henry Cavill is still my pick for next Bond, but it'll likely be a minority and/or homosexual, just to up the box-ticking ante of "the message". StandFree1982
James Bond movies are meant to be fun, entertaining and just generally over the top nonsense. James Bond himself is meant to be a suave, alcoholic shagger. But since Daniel Craig took over as Bond its lost all of that. He's got zero charisma, they've toned everything down due to the minority being offended by everything and there's little to no humour in them anymore. They've taken one of the most successful movie franchises and turned them shit. Link to comment
Poodler
Goodbye Lenin (2003) German film festival. The hero cunt from Inglorious Basterds lies to his ma (who was in a coma) that the Berlin Wall hadn’t fallen. apparently a comedy. Don’t bother Link to comment

Jigsaw666
Jurassic World: Dominion. Absolute clusterfuck of a movie. Utter tedium from start to finish. I see what they were thinking, have a monster appear from 10 seconds in then action all the way to the end but it is so fucking bad. Don't believe in the creatures or the characters or the action scenes or the situations they get themselves in. The bad guy is as scary as a school teacher with no credibility as a super villain. Not forgetting the 'Uh oh we're about to get eaten, until along comes another dinosaur to save us' bit - yet again. Can only imagine that Spielberg's involvement begins and ends with having his name on the credits coz this abortion of a movie just doesn't gel as one of his. 1/10 is generous. Link to comment

From what I can see, Henry Cavill is the best candidate to rescue the series, but somehow I just know it'll be someone who ticks the diversity boxes. Idris Elba may be too old now, but a young black transvestite will get the woke mob braying with delight. 1 Link to comment

It used to be James but it represented a toxic masculinity and imperialist racist past, and I now identify as a lady, preferring the pronouns she/her.” 1 Link to comment

Burt Lancaster was the Trump character, but with a heart. Link to comment
