  1. Did well for his previous Norwegian club. Bombed in Belgium, shite in Scotland, now nice in Norway again. Hopefully he continues to do well and one of the better off Norwegian clubs makes us an offer we can't refuse.
  2. I'd add McGrath to your Wingers/Attackers list given that's where he's played most of this season. Clarkson too. Or make a distinction between wingers and attacking midfielders (I'd have the four you list as wingers then McGrath and Clarkson as attacking midfielders). Add young Murray to the CM for next year too. New first choice GK definitely top priority, plus a winger, especially if Duk does go. And if he does that'll mean two new first choice wingers (one for each side) with possibly two of Duncan, Vinnie, and Morris as back up (though would prefer to see Vinnie and Morris moved on). Bavidge could also play wide, he has done on a few occasions for Kelty. Next priority is a robust CB and a similarly robust couple of CMs If Miovski goes then lets see what Sokler can do in pre-season. If he's so-so then get another number 9, especially if we can loan out or sell Gueye. After that for me it's a RB, LB and back-up GK, but I wouldn't expect to see any of them until January at the earliest, more likely next summer. All the above assumes 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3.
  3. Interesting, I've only seen the second one before. I also missed the incident live because I was in the pisser. Looks on the line to me, which counts as the box, does it not? And I'm in full agreement with the gif at the bottom.
  4. I'd rather we signed a new permanent keeper, but if folk are talking about loans we could try a punt for the young Icelandic lad Thelin had at Elfsborg and recently sold to Brentford: https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/hakon-rafn-valdimarsson/profil/spieler/488935
  5. I thought about starting from the beginning of the century but I took my data from the beginning of the Sevco era instead, seeing as it's a new club and all.
  6. This status quo thing is an interesting narrative. In the last 10 years there have been zero Scottish cup finals involving both the ugly twins. At least one of them (usually the huns) gets beaten at some point, but most times one of them will make it to the final. Winners - Celtic (5), St. j (2), Hibs (1), ICT (1). Rangers (1) Similar for the League Cup. Only 2 finals involving the uglies in 10 years. Winners - Celtic (7), Ross County (1), St. J (1), Aberdeen (1) The media and the sponsors would have you believe Blue v Green finals happen all the time and that's what the fans want, but it's nonsense. In that time Celtic have won 9 out of the 10 league titles. Only one or two of them have been a "contest". The media project the narrative that the rest of us should be grateful the ugly twins let us share their football, that the whole of Scottish football is an even tussle between those two for the three trophies available and the rest of us are also-rans, whereas the reality is that since they got caught for their financial cheating, the blue half of Glasgow are just as fucked as the rest of us, or at best marginally more likely to win something on the rare occasions their green sibling stumbles. If the media where much more honest about that and the blue cunts humble enough to admit it (which they aren't and never will be), we'd be much more likely to get some form of change in our game that levels the playing field for everyone.
  7. I was in the bog when that incident occurred so I was hoping to see it in the highlights package. Funny how such a major talking point in the game seems to end up on the cutting room floor.
  8. Would have had more game time if Bojan wasn't so awesome and injury free. If Bojan goes then Sokler could easily be our main central striker next season. Hopefully Bavidge and Gruyere (not laughing at the back) return from their loan stints much improved. With Duk probably going, Hoilett out of contract and Morris being mind-bogglingly atrocious I'm far more concerned about the wide attacking areas and would be spending funds there rather than on a centre forward.
  9. Old rules = ball to hand => no penalty New rules + VAR = subjective discussion regarding whether or not his arm is in an "unnatural position", body silhouettes, can the weird euro-brand stuff you find in Lidl really be half the price but just as good as the M&S one => I say it is, you say it isn't, nobody really knows and we've all wasted an hour of our lives discussing it.
  10. Let's see how VAR performs ay Euro 2024 Any controversial decisions that result in any of the "big" nations being eliminated and there will be sparks.
  11. It will be interesting (or possibly infuriating) to see how VAR is implemented during Euro 2024. It provides a new way for Scotland to fail gloriously. Just wait until you see the great injury time goal that would've put us through to the knockout stages disallowed due to VAR.
  12. Who's this wifey pundit on ITV? Talking shit as well as an annoying voice. I have no problem with female pundits and there's plenty male pundits I think are useless but she's annoying.
  13. If VAR had existed in those days would it have been disallowed?
  14. Wasn't the rule at one point (before the days of VAR) that the attacking player was supposed to be given the benefit of the doubt because the authorities wanted more goals? That was much better than seeing a great goal chalked off because technology says there's a ball hair in it. It's ruining the game by removing the humanity/romance from it.
