The constitutional framework was agreed in 1707. The executive and legislature functions applies equally in Scotland, with minor amendments for the devolved assembly and an independent judiciary. I dont think so. Boris's  prorogation was found legal by English judges but ultimately unconstitutional by the Scottland highest court. This the  "English law" thing all over this.

Honestly i am against the UK Supreme court because it weakens the 1707 Act of Union

And so why was Scottish Law allowed by that Treaty and not "British" Law?

I've never heard of British law nor the UK Supreme court. I presume you mean the House of Lords?

So what are we arguing about?  Scots law and English Law are different. You seem at one time saying Scots law is subordinate to English law then you go full circle .https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supreme_Court_of_the_United_Kingdom

As authorised by the Constitutional Reform Act 2005, Part 3, Section 23(1),[1] the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom was formally established on 1 October 2009 and is a non-ministerial government department of the Government of the United Kingdom,[3].

It assumed the judicial functions of the House of Lords, which had been exercised by the Lords of Appeal in Ordinary (commonly called "Law Lords"), th

all i see is "English Law"..doesn't apply in Scotland. What do you find most appealing about this article?

Both governments (UK and Scottish) have gone far further with this nonsense than any sensible person could have imagined. Keeping parents from children, allowing the police to enter people's home without a warrant, Police issuing fines with no trials, banning public protests, forcing children to wear masks against their parents wishes.

This article questions the UK governments legal basis for doing this. Questions I've not seen asked anywhere else.

As the measures are broadly similar in England and Scotland, and the legal systems are similar, if it is against the law in England there is a chance that it is illegal in Scotland. Unfortunately we have a largely compliant media up here so I'd be very surprised if its ever questioned in the MSM

Quite possibly been shared already but not trawling through all the pages. Found this interesting. Be keen to hear any counter arguments, i.e. if the boys a fruit loop, if data shared is inaccurate or false etc. Never heard of him before but makes for a compelling argument that lockdowns/current restrictions are all fairly pointless and do more harm than good.

Very interesting piece that.
To summarise, Covid is merely a particularly virulent strain of flu which is picking up the slack from a very mild flu season last year. The susceptible older age groups got off lightly last year.
Masks make no difference. Introduced during the ‘off-season’ when flu would naturally be in decline, thus it appears they are helping but seem to be making little impact now with cases rising. Why, after years of research did the WHO suddenly about turn on the issue?
Two months pubs have been open (in England at least, yet deaths continue to fall?
The supposed 2nd wave is a naturally occurring rise as we approach the next flu season.

Parky, you 100% claimed that.

I remember the conversation you are talking about and I very much did not claim that no one had missed a birth. All you're showing is that you are incapable of basic reading and understanding. Either that or you're just a troll, which is the most likely option

I must say that the ongoing moobs-punklife feud is a surprising development, or at least not something I remember from previous years when both of you were fairly new to this forum. It surprises me because I see more in common than apart between you. You must have been a bad stupid bastard to moobs in the past I'm guessing punklife and he isn't one to forgive and forget. He might have made an arse of it on this occasion however if you never said what he claimed you did and so the onus on proof is very much now on him to either show that you did or to apologise and try to revert to slagging the post, not the poster.

He's a strange customer old Parky. Has an almost pathological need to be seen to be right about every topic.

There was a report on the news about partners missing the birth of their children. One woman had to give birth to her stillborn child alone. It reminded me of a post I made on here a few months ago when Parky told me I was being a drama queen and no one was missing their child's birth. His mate was at his iirc.

If he's denying saying it fair enough, it's not important.

You shouldn't make assertions on things you know nothing about. As, like this occasion, you end up talking nonsense.

I'm wrong about loads of things.

I'll not be responding to your pathetic trolling today though.

Ok, I accept I do not know why he obviously can't stand you but you don't seem like you want to enlighten me?

That's ok, it's not important.

I'm not sure. Me and Moobs have had disagreements on things a lot in the past. An, at times, comical back and forth on pretty much anything. I'll say "black", he'll say "white".

It was mostly good natured but in the last few months he's turned pretty nasty. Continually lying about things ive said, misrepresenting me & generally being little but a troll. Not sure what's prompted that change but it's the reason I now choose to ignore him most of the time.

OK I'll accept I've misremembered. What was the convo about people missing births? I know we disagreed on the subject, I thought because you said it wasn't happening but if that wasn't the case what was it?

I vaguely remember Parkie disagreeing with Moobies about parents missing their kids birth. Couldn't find it in the first 30 pages of this thread though.

Definitely happened, possibly with added nuance.

Caveman absent from the first 30 pages. Must've been on a golfing holiday.

At last, something we agree on.

You didn't post on here for 9 months and your very first post back was to complain that I was posting. What a sad fuck.

It's coming back to me now. Whenever you pick a fight, you run off like a coward. And you lack spontaneity, always considering your next shit one-liner for ages before posting it, in the case of your handicap, 4.5 hours. And I bet you were proud and pleased with yourself eh, having a lower handicap than what punklife had? And I bet you were proud of yourself yesterday eh, reducing it from 6 to 5?

You're shit AND sad min.

You missed the time when he asked posters for my address in an attempt to intimidate me, then filled his pants and ran away when I told him to DM me his address and I'd come see him. ?
