Nk Siroki Brijeg 0 - 2 Aberdeen (1 - 3 On Agg)

No way Mclean gets dropped after one poor performance. Can't agree with the calls to include Stockley after Maribor last year! I'd rather see Maynard start. Stewart in for GMS too.

Maynard didn't look very fit to me... Looks like he's missed a lot of pre season... I'd put Maynard on after an hour certainly... Stewart is in my selection ... So are you dropping GMS for Mclean and stickling Christie on the wing ? Not much width there I reckon...

Agree Stockley might be a good shout to start - better at holding the ball up and letting the rest of the team get up to support, especially in the heat over there. Would start with Christie, Stewart and Mackay-Steven behind him with shinnie and mclean deeper.

Deek said before the game last night that Maynard is a couple of weeks behind everyone else in terms of fitness so can only see him getting a cameo again if were chasing a goal.

Fingers crossed

Sticking with my original prediction here of 1-1 or a 2-1 win.

Not sure on my line-up, maybe this. :dontknow:

------------------------------------------------Lewis---------------------------------------------

------------Logan------------Reynolds--------------Considine-------------Shinnie------------

-----------------------------------Tansey------------McLean--------------------------------

----------------------Stewart---------------Christie------------MackaySteven------------

-----------------------------------------------Stockley--------------------------------------------

Edit : Maynard not fully fit then, so it's Stockley up front.

Stockley's big, physical style of play is dangerous against these pansy continental teams. Similar to Maribor last year, Brijeg's centre halves will hate it and will be hitting the deck each time Stockley goes for a header in an attempt to get him sent off.

Not 100% convinced I'd stick with Rooney starting. Could be a chance for Maynard to start upfront on his own and see what he can do.

My team would be: Lewis, Logan, O'Connor, Reynolds, Considine, McLean, Shinnie, Christie (CAM), Stewart (RM), Mackay-Steven (LM), Rooney/Maynard (ST).

Sorry, my Stewart in for GMS was in relation to last nights line up, not your one. I can't see McInnes putting Shinnie LB and shuffling Considine and O'Connor. either. He recognised it was a poor performance but seems to be putting it down to the fact it was our first competitive game and their third. Wouldn't be at all surprised to see the same 11 next week but I'd prefer Maynard in for Rooney and Stewart in for GMS.

Wouldn't be surprised if he starts with two up front and goes for an early goal. Sooner we get the away goal the better.

I think Rooney and Stockley will both start, with Maynard and Stewart coming off the bench.

Lewis

Logan O'Connor Reynolds Considine

Christie Tansey Shinnie GMS

Rooney Stockley

I thought the ;) was a giveaway mate but never mind!

EDIT: That's before you consider we don't have a player in the squad with the second name Stephen.

Haha no shit.

Yes I assumed the smiley was a smug face for picking him up on having 12 players. Assumed you'd just had a cursory glance and made a cunt of it. Sarcasm doesn't really work in written form evidently.

The way they were throwing themselves around and Stockley's propensity to use his elbows means I don't think I could trust him to start.

Exactly, as soon as they had their goal (maybe even before, as I missed most of first half) they were falling down cheating after most high balls.

Can only imagine how they'll be with trying to disrupt the game now that they are going to be defending the away gaol from the start.

Could be a big risk starting Mr Windmill.

Maybe try Stewart up front, or Maynard (he must bury a chance sooner or later given his past)

We should give them a taste of their own medicine once we're 2-0 up.

Lewis

Logan O'Connor Considine Shinnie

Tansey McLean

Stewart Christie GMS

Maynard

Can't have Considine getting done down 20 times down the left again. Need someone to win headers in the box.

Maynard looked like much more of a threat than Rooney.
