Predictions for this season

Recommended Posts

Glass is a draw away from getting further in Europe in his first season as McInnes did in his whole time here. Considering the players he had at his disposal, Christie, Shinnie, McLean, Maddison, Rooney, a peak Hayes and McGinn, we should have done so much better.

League - Third. As bad as Celtic results have been, they've absolutely battered the teams and lost due to poor defending and goalkeeping. They've recruited and will continue to improve.

Cups - a final would be good. I'd love to see us actually have a go in a final. Maybe score a goal for a change.

Europe - Groups if we sort our defence out.

Ummm in a different competition?

You are comparing beating (if it happens)  a team from iceland who play in a stadium with under 2000 seats to real sociedad, Rijeka, maribor, Kairat, burnley and whoever else. We never once lost to a team who’s budget didn’t completely dwarf us.

we had our chances and definitely should have made at least the play offs at least once but fucking hell don’t compare what he has done so far to the European games previous. We’ve done fuck all so far

League likely fourth unless we bring in a couple more - Tims will sort themselves out enough to be second, Hibs will be consistent

Cups - avoid the huns and we will get to Hampden then it's a lottery (which is an improvement on our last few visits when its been a capitulation)

Europe - am hoping for ggroup stages but fear we will come up short because we are a good player or two light -

If we sorted out central defence and had good options for change up front then we could press for second (barring a hun catastrophe - we can but wish) and cups and Europe might be even better, Will we speculate to accumulate - it's not really been the Aberdeen way recently.

Conference rather than Europa.

It’s the same teams even though it’s under a different name.

It could even be argued that the ECL seedlings will be tougher with additional opportunities for EL dropouts to enter later rounds

It's not the same competition at all though.

If we get to the Conference group stages it won't be the same as St Johnstone getting to the Europa group stages.

Donna be so facetious.

The ECL have the same teams in it that the EL teams have been in general the last 8 years.

Yesy If St Johnstone get to the groups then that would be fantastic for them, but they too will have benefits from the slimmed down EL of only 1 tie as a result of the co-efficient and most of the EL trams now competing in the ECL

I'm not being facetious at all.

The conference league is the third tier competition. The Europa is the second tier competition.

This is obvious to every one.

Comprised of the same fucking teams that we’ve been in the draw with in the last 8 seasons.

To try and think it’s somehow easier is ludicrous

If course its easier.

The better Europa teams won't touch the conference as they won't drop down that low.  Just like the better Champions league teams won't drop down.

You've got this completely wrong min.
