Gogic looked a good player for Hamilton tonight. Apart from his performances against Aberdeen I can't say I know much about him.

A few have mentioned he is out of contract at the end of the season.

Look Derek, we already have five sitting midfielders at the club, we do not need another one.

Seen enough in the last three Hamilton games I’ve watched, against ourselves, Rangers and Celtic to suggest he’d be handy enough. Would be very cheap and could cover a number of positions.

We need a number 10.

That's the main target to fix.

I'd be open to selling any of McKenna, Cosgrove, Lewis and Ferguson that we can negotiate a decent wedge for.

Depending on how Bryson, Campbell, Ojo and McGeouch are getting on this season and the start of pre-season it might become a no brainer to sell Ferguson

Ferguson has lost his way a bit the last 6 months, which is little surprise given the horrific football we've been playing. Not sure if he's missing the guidance/influence of Shinnie too but he's not having the same impact on games.

Hopefully an improvement in the team's form leads to him kicking on again too.

Whilst in general I agree with your statements, were talking about a lowering of standards from a very high point for such a young man.

That said, he was influential on Tuesday night

He'll be fine.

He's being asked to perform different roles constantly as McInnes tries different formations and different combinations of players in midfield.

Once that settles down I think we'll see him return to his best form

McKenna and Cosgrove definitely Ferguson still to show his best which hopefully will come Lewis has to stay until we have a top replacement I'm not sure about cerny as I haven't seen enough of him. The same could have been said about ward and lewis

Devlin and Considine would do a better job than Scott at the moment. Considine is eminently replaceable. I know this last bit will get the juices flowing but main had a good game and did twice the work that Sam does in a game

I don't agree with everything you post however I do somewhat agree that we can replace Cosgrove. He has actually been a tremendous signing given how much we paid for him and the number of goals he's scored. However, as McInnes commented today in the press, we have been heavily reliant on him as the main source of our goals and Cosgrove has taken on a huge burden as a result. McInnes has been setting the side up to play to Cosgrove's strengths - the problem is that when Cosgrove isn't producing - we aren't capable of scoring.

What we witnessed against Hamilton on Tuesday night was the removal of all our troubles (of late). Cosgrove was benched allowing the side to set up in a different formation which paid dividends. It allowed McGinn, Main and others to have more freedom to attack and it wasn't a case of lumping the ball into the box. McGinn's goal was a really well worked team goal. We played some nice football particularly in the first half. We weren't so predictable and Hamilton didn't anticipate that and couldn't cope in the first half (3-0 by half-time was no fluke). Ojo (MOTM) benefitted greatly as the ball wasn't bypassing the entire midfield like we have been use to in previous matches.

I'm not sure we'll have many suitors for Ferguson, Mckenna or Cosgrove this coming summer. And I'm ok with that. If Cosgrove is sold, I'd like to go for both Ross Stewart and Dykes. Both have impressed me when they have played against ourselves and I believe they are better then our current crop of forwards. After Tuesdays performance I'm more inclined to give Main more time to impress before writing him off completely. He did very well on Tuesday albeit against Hamilton.

Gogic outstanding again tonight. Collecting another MOTM award. An absolute warrior who seems to run through brick walls every time he plays.

Plays in an area where were well covered, but provides a different more physical option, as opposed to Campbell, Ojo and McGeouch - who are ball players. We’ve certainly missed the dig and physicality that Shinnie used to provide, at various times this season. Gogic can also cover at CB - so provides options.

I see the Huns picked him out last night too: https://www.followfo...7/#post-5534167

Westhill claiming he’s not good enough for us... I beg to differ. Exactly the type of player we should be looking at, out of contract, reasonably young and sticking out like a sore thumb at one of the ‘lesser’ Scottish teams. We should be hoovering up these type of guys. He’ll be on buttons at Hamilton too! A no brainer at the price - Possibly a better option than another out of favour English championship loanee...

McInnes will be aware of the player - he was good against us and in his interview I remember McInnes mentioning he’s been impressed by Hamilton after watching their last round of matches against the OF.

Gogic has been a standout against both The Rangers and Killie. Looks to be a good player/battler who gets stuck in. We do have a lot of midfielders already though.

Not sure if this has been mentioned elsewhere but Hoban now training with us.... I guess he has to prove he is over his ACL before we offer a deal....

Mcinnes saying: “Tommie Hoban has done well in training over the last couple of days (with us). He went back down the road last night as his wife is due to give birth. I haven’t spoken to him, but I hope it all went well. He will back with us on Monday.”

I'd take him.....he better get used to reduced wages tho.

Sell McKenna for a couple million and sign Hoban. If Hoban remains fit and can avoid any further injuries, he'd be much more valuable to us then Mckenna.

His injury history means that no club will ever pay a decent fee for him if anything at all. At his best, I'd agree he is a better player than McKenna though. The problem is we don't have a vacancy for a central defender on a full-time contract as it stands. He's also right sided, so I think it would be more Devlin getting punted that would need to happen before we signed him permanently.....if McKenna was sold I think we would be looking at a specialist left sided defender and spending a chunk of the money raised to do so. But as I've also said before.....the wages we pay our players is likely a good bit less than Hoban is used to. And I don't think we would risk paying him top dollar given his injury history. So the wages we would likely be offering would be on a par with anything he could get in EFL1 and a fair number of EFL2 clubs. So he might be able to find a club where he doesn't have to move at all (Leyton Orient supposedly interested) as opposed to uprooting his family 600 miles north.
