They'll probably sign Rooney and Hayes soon, trying to recreate our team of 2014. Unfortunately for them, they'll also need to sign clangers.

Last I'd heard he was wanting a move to China. Bet he regrets knocking back the deal we offered him, he could have had a testimonial. Just never kicked on like he should have.

Pawlett probably saw Clark Robertson making a decent fist of things in England and fancied following suit.

The safest model to follow is always that of Nicholson/Severin. Go to England age 30 as leaves little time for things to go wrong.

Pawlett is only 27 and now he's kicking around the Scottish Championship and will be lucky if he's on £50k/year..... many part time players (with their full time job) will be earning far more than him.

Better than being on £0 and having to scramble around for a new club.

Outside of the top 4/5 teams (Huns, Tims, Us, Hearts and Hibs), there won't be many players on more than £1k a week up here.

Retrospectively though he is one of the examples for us to demonstrate to others that the grass is not always greener.

Ash Taylor also who is kicking around League Two

Maybe you should do a little research before stating that.

Season 17/18 there was only THREE teams in the league with an average weekly salary below £1k (that's AVERAGE, so some would likey be above £1k a week in EVERY team)

St Johnstone £923

Motherwell £820

Hamilton £798

& Accies average wage has risen by 11% over past three seasons

Dundee Utd trying to get Osman Sow.

Based on his previous time in Scotland would think a top flight club should take a punt.

You've just proven my point. "so SOME would likely be above £1k". I said there won't be MANY on £1k a week.

Out of the top 5 i mentioned, only 4 teams are paying more than the 1k, but only marginally. And because it is AVERAGE wages, that mean that there will be players on MORE than £1k in those teams, which means that the rest of the players will be on less than £1k a week.

Fk off. stop digging min & admit you were way off the mark.

You said there won't be many PLAYERS outside the top four/five teams on £1k pw. That would imply  maybe just a handful of players.

If at least FOUR of the other teams as of LAST season (that has possibly increased this season) are averaging over that then it will be a bit more than just a handful of players. Plus the two/three teams with average below this £1k pw average will likely have a couple of players earning the £1k pw.

Don't forget. A lot of these teams are filling their squads with youth players that will bring their average down. Their senior players will be mostly earning the £1k + pw

Dundee Utd are paying more than a lot of top flight clubs and he knows Neilson from Hearts and Mk Dons.

It doesn't matter if you think you are right, just let it go min, if you continue, you will create another 10 pages of FnD saying the same thing over and over again.
