I cant pass comment on his overall ability, Ive never watched him that much or even thought, wow, england international, or excellent player.

He's a cheap version of Roy Keane in the way he "thinks" he has an edge to his game, I could name a good few players that would take care of Joey on the pitch and Im sure a few will stick them in their back pockets this year.

oh roy keane. now there was a player.

players like him and viera, all round combative midfielders have died a death recently.

shame, all teams should have one.

Cannot condone some of the things he has gotten upto throughout his career and life in general but I think everyone deserves a second chance.

It looks like the worst of his antics are just about behind him but then again, I wouldn't be that surprised if he got himself into trouble once more.

Agree with the sentiments that he thinks he's more intelligent than he is. Follow him on twitter because I like his honesty about some matters and some individuals but he seems to try too hard at times to appear articulate and cultured.

Footballing wise, he's undoubtedly a talented individual but he needs to use his time well at QPR as it's last chance saloon. If he knuckles down, then he might well be recognised by a bigger side and, consquently, might be given another shot at the England set up. Doubt it'll happen under Capello but possibly an English manager.

He's a gobshite that can give it out, but greets when he gets a few kicks.

he's found his level as a man and a player.

QPR.

enough said

For 80k a week, I'd be more than happy to play for them.

I love him, think he's a quality player and look up to him as a bit of a role model now.

QPR's Joey Barton has urged Sky not to select his team for Sunday matches so he does not have to watch X Factor on Saturday evenings, which he claims is ruining his credibility.

He was saying to Adel Taarabt that he needs to buck up his ideas.

He thinks he runs the club with the way he's acting of late.

All of a sudden he's Mr. QPR.

I agree that Taarabt needs to give himself a shake but that's for Warnock to say, not Barton

Na, I'm with Barton, get in there and shake up prima donna cunts who think they are more important than everyone else. I reckon Warnock telt him to have a blast.

No room for cliques at fitba teams.

Vinnie Jones, upon signing for Leeds, in the second division, noticed that when he and Strachan walked in there were distinct groupings of players, and one group in particular were very stand offish and never spoke, and were of the whispering and sniggering mentality.

Jones walked up and punched one of them right in the face, canna mind the boys name now, dropped him, clean out on the floor.

Wilkinson summoned him. He thought he was fucked. Wilko said 'I'm disappointed in you Vinnie. Why was there no blood on the floor?'

Fighting solves problems.

See Barton is trying to get The Smiths back together. On Talk Sport yesterday that he has already talked to Johnny Marr and is due to have lunch with his good friend Morrissey.

Bit of a bizarre friendship but by all accounts he said Marr was interested.
