Shinnie To.......

Recommended Posts

Big signing decision for him.  At this point in his career he needs to look after things financially.  He has no emotional attachment to Aberdeen FC since he is not a fan.  If Wigan are offering a considerable package, then good luck to him.  I'm sure he'll continue to give 100%.  He will be welcome back in Aberdeen any time - unlike the rat.

I wonder when he got the chance to go down to Wigan to "check the setup" down there?

Went straight from the Livvy game to "Doobers" with his missus, came back with her then straight back to "Doobers" with the team. Maybe he was down there yesterday, on the player's day off, after returning from "Doobers"?

So, either he's never been down there yet, in which case, it's a shithole, Graeme, you might want to hedge your bets, or McInnes has been pulling the wool over the fans eyes, and he's kent all along that Shinnie would be awa.

I've no doubt that the player would give his all for the remainder of the season, but any semi-decent bid from Wigan to take him now and I'd bite their hand of, save his wages, bring in a decent midfielder to replace him and give the captain's armband to McKenna, on an interim basis.

Wigan are a nothing of a club. Completely get the guy wanting to get himself a better contract etc but seriously is that the height of his ambitions, Wigan?

It would have been more understandable moving to the huns. Each to their own though. I'm sure we'll move on no problem.

Ok. Knows exactly what’s happening as does the club and gives us six month lead in to replace him. Meanwhile we know we’ll get 100%.

Not seeing the issue. Short of the Maclean deal where we bizarrely got him cash plus player this is the next best outcome.

Thanks Graeme. Anyone deriding your contribution simply hasn’t been watching or has a very short memory.

Next.

Ps leaving with silverware would be just dandy ta.

Come on tae fuck. Give the boy some credit for not doing that.

Not what I said. Delighted he's not going there but at least had he done he could have made an argument about competing for trophies. Wigan will achieve absolutely nothing in his time there, I'm pretty confident of that.

he'll get his cash though.

Bit of a lack of ambition there but understandable too. Needs to secure some good money at this stage of career.

Same as Kenny Mclean they've both let the club know their plans at a fine time unlike that ugly smelly unwashed rat. He'll give 100% and hopefully this will push him on to lift some silverware before he goes, I'm sure he'll be desperate.

Good luck Graeme, you've been a terrific captain.

If I was Shinnie I'd be open to staying at the Dons for something like £5k/week on a five year deal.

As McInnes said he is the team at AFC which is something he'll never get at another club (as whisper it but he's not actually good enough).

Short career in football and its important to stay relevant in terms of being thought of for coach, manager or pundit gig.

If he's playing in England great but if you are not playing you can quickly be forgotten
