MightyDons
If true, he's really settled signing for Wigan. Not really going to help him win Scotland caps. Might end up in league one next season! Link to comment
Torry Tosser
Hull or Wigan. What a glamorous decision.I could understand if he went to Hull, good side on a great run, with best young player in Jarrod Bowen...But Wigan no way. Link to comment
Quagmire
Depends how much he's getting offered. If he's making a few extra g's at Wigan then go for it. I'd be basing this move purely on ££££. Or i'd be getting in contact with GMS's agent and getting me a deal to NYC. Link to comment
Yorston Vasey
Six months at Wigan, a few Carabao Cup appearances then loaned to Hibs in January 2020 window. Link to comment

HairyPie
Big signing decision for him. At this point in his career he needs to look after things financially. He has no emotional attachment to Aberdeen FC since he is not a fan. If Wigan are offering a considerable package, then good luck to him. I'm sure he'll continue to give 100%. He will be welcome back in Aberdeen any time - unlike the rat. 1 Link to comment
sooth_stander
I wonder when he got the chance to go down to Wigan to "check the setup" down there? Went straight from the Livvy game to "Doobers" with his missus, came back with her then straight back to "Doobers" with the team. Maybe he was down there yesterday, on the player's day off, after returning from "Doobers"? So, either he's never been down there yet, in which case, it's a shithole, Graeme, you might want to hedge your bets, or McInnes has been pulling the wool over the fans eyes, and he's kent all along that Shinnie would be awa. I've no doubt that the player would give his all for the remainder of the season, but any semi-decent bid from Wigan to take him now and I'd bite their hand of, save his wages, bring in a decent midfielder to replace him and give the captain's armband to McKenna, on an interim basis. Redstar
Hook nosed clown We can do betterAgreed...I’m not sure if it was the “burden” of the captaincy or...more likely...being constantly played out of position...he’s regressed since joining and can now Fuck off... 1 Link to comment
TheRock
He has no emotional attachment to Aberdeen FC since he is not a fan.I agree with your overall point but you really think he has no emotional attachment after the last few years? This has just been a job for him and no more? Link to comment
1903Fitba
Hull is the worst place I’ve ever visited. Don’t do it ShinnieWigan is certainly in the top ten. Fucked it Shinnie. Link to comment

BWG
Double his wages or more. A rather easy decision for him I think at this stage of his career. It's absolutely shite that we can't compete with nothing clubs like fucking Wigan. Link to comment
V for Vendetta
Disappointing but money talks so we just move on and find someone else. I'd expect a s similar story for GMS tbh. Link to comment
BWG
I managed to keep Shinnie on football manager by offering him 6K a week and promising to strengthen the squad. We should just do that. 1 Link to comment

fifered
Wigan are a nothing of a club. Completely get the guy wanting to get himself a better contract etc but seriously is that the height of his ambitions, Wigan? It would have been more understandable moving to the huns. Each to their own though. I'm sure we'll move on no problem. Link to comment
strachanmcgheegoal
Ok. Knows exactly what’s happening as does the club and gives us six month lead in to replace him. Meanwhile we know we’ll get 100%. Not seeing the issue. Short of the Maclean deal where we bizarrely got him cash plus player this is the next best outcome. Thanks Graeme. Anyone deriding your contribution simply hasn’t been watching or has a very short memory. Next. Ps leaving with silverware would be just dandy ta. 2 Link to comment

fifered
Come on tae fuck. Give the boy some credit for not doing that. Not what I said. Delighted he's not going there but at least had he done he could have made an argument about competing for trophies. Wigan will achieve absolutely nothing in his time there, I'm pretty confident of that. he'll get his cash though. Link to comment
HairyPie
It's ridiculous that the allure of Union Street and the mighty impressive Union Square wasn't enough. They should have thrown in free Bugsy's admission. Link to comment
Tord31
This presents a fair challenge to McInnes eeking things out till April. He'll still give it a go. Link to comment
C'monEweReds
Bit of a lack of ambition there but understandable too. Needs to secure some good money at this stage of career. Same as Kenny Mclean they've both let the club know their plans at a fine time unlike that ugly smelly unwashed rat. He'll give 100% and hopefully this will push him on to lift some silverware before he goes, I'm sure he'll be desperate. Good luck Graeme, you've been a terrific captain. Link to comment
DelMonte
Not a bad move. Might get another season in the championship next year and he will be on a decent wage. Is what it is. Link to comment
Tord31
If I was Shinnie I'd be open to staying at the Dons for something like £5k/week on a five year deal. As McInnes said he is the team at AFC which is something he'll never get at another club (as whisper it but he's not actually good enough). Short career in football and its important to stay relevant in terms of being thought of for coach, manager or pundit gig. If he's playing in England great but if you are not playing you can quickly be forgotten Link to comment
minijc
Paying him 5k a week to stay would be absurd, could get a much better midfielder in for that sort of money. Link to comment
