Speaking of hipster trends, there seems to be an affa lot of gin experts around these days.

Very annoying.

I blame female hipsters (fipsters? let's go with fipsters) for that particular trend.

They're even more annoying than their male counterparts.

...not just for the youth team.  For all sorts of reasons, we should be a club that promotes youth.  That we don't!  (sigh). As I said in another post - we've unfortunately found out the loanees aren't up to it - play the kids post-split to A) get experience B) learn about them a bit.

I have a caveat - we (as football supporters) are becoming so intolerant that why would you risk a kid unless you are 100% sure. There is a mob of people agitating for any mistake so they can righteously proclaim 'something/anything" to have an opinion and any player that dares to deviate from excellence (ie dip in form) is worthy of an aggressive binning!   My point (if any beyond  exasperation) is that we need to believe in youth and allow them mistakes as they get better.

....everyone on here is on the specturm tbf

Or a system that suits his skills...."right go out and turn up" - "eh"?

I like you

GMS needs a run of 10-12 games and an arm around the shoulder. Created more for us on Saturday being on the pitch for 1 minute than anyone else for the previous 42. If I was DMC I'd be trying to get GMS in a free role linking up with a better striker than we've got.

Agreed. He's a decent player, and you never know if he's going to be shit hot or just shit, but the opposition can't just ignore him and hope it will be the latter.

I've said it before, but in previous seasons teams simply had to set up to defend against Hayes and McGinn out wide because if they didn't the two of them would just run riot and create chance after chance for Rooney who would put a decent amount of them in the back of the net. We haven't had that this season, and teams haven't had that same fear against us that they had when those two were starting for us, and I think a lot of it is down to our lack of pace on the wings (and throughout the whole team really).

It's come about 6 months too late, but at least McInnes seems to have finally realised the squad isn't what it should be, so i'm hopeful of at least targeting some better quality players over summer.

It will be a big kick in the nuts trying to attract better players if we don't finish in the European spots though.

Can understand that principle for the elite teams, but are the players AFC are trying to attract really worried either way about a couple of trips in July to Kazakhstan and Lithuania?

Fixed that for you.

The world outside Scotland makes me love the scottish game more and more. Good solid 10's of thousands transfer fees; no frills - good honest solid realism, with a squeeze of hate and a smidge of daring to dream.

The Dons are a joy to support.
