What I would pick

Langers

Logan

Anderson

Reynolds

Considine

Flood

Robson

McGinn (right wing)

Pawlett

Hayes (left wing)

Rooney

Bench - Weaver, Shaugnessey, Smith, Vernon, Jack.

What I think he may very well go with:

Langfield

Logan

Anderson

Reynolds

Considine

Flood

Jack

Robson (Right Midfield)

Pawlett

Hayes (Left Wing)

Rooney

Bench - Weaver, Tate, Smith, Vernon, McGinn.

Not a chance McGinn will be on the bench.

I'd like to point out that Stoney seems to be a decent bloke.
I met him at Tynecastle last season and he seemed spot on to me.
So I'd lay off the abuse to him lads.

The right back position is vital, whoever fills that role will find themselves in direct opposition to Shinnie, just depends on what we need defensively  to take care of him.

Jack at rb is fine with me but for me his not offensive enough in that position, but I'll take Jack starting if he is not in a midfield with Flood and robbo

I can think of 3 games where Flood has been poor and lost the ball alot but then i can only think of 3 games where Jack has played well, to drop Flood for Jack would be stupid and I doubt McInnes would do that, got to go with the same team from the semi with the sae ethos aswell, if we do that we will win easily.

I would personally have Jack and Robson anchoring. Flood is far to guilty of giving the ball away inexplicably. Tough decision for Deek.

The only way he could really get it wrong is by playing all three of them.

I find it hard to believe anyone would drop Flood. What fitba games have you been watching this season?

Im just saying I prefer a Robson Jack pairing than Flood and the other. Flood has been a decent signing but is more prone to giving the ball away needlessly, in a cup final that could be critical.

My main point was all 3 better not play as that would be crazy.

Im surprised you haven't noticed how often Flood fails to complete the simplest of passes. I like Flood but he certainly needs to work on his distribution.

Feck all wrong with his distribution

the guy is the heart beat of our midfield, we struggled badly without him when he was injured last year.

He starts 100% of the time, no question.

In fact i'd go as far to say is that hes the second name on the team sheet behind reynolds.

It's been poor recently. St mirren being the most obvious. I like flood though and would keep him in. The way he closes players down is vital on sunday

A team like hughes likes to attack so pressing them high up the park is important and forme Flood is better at that than Jack and just for the record if we play Flood then we play Robbo they both look better when accompanied  by the other.

Jack needs to start on the bench imo.
Robson and Flood should be our midfield two.
Decent problem for McInnes to have right enough.
I've been critical of Flood of late with regards his passing, but for me he's a first pick.
The rest of the team picks itself.

Flood has been poor recently especially his distribution. Would go as far as say he hasn't been brilliant since the Celtic cup tie, although he's been ok in a few others.. Id still start him though and as much as I like Ryan Jack id leave him on the bench.

This - utterly staggering suggestion in my opinion.  Best breaking up play midfielder in country but a mile.

Flood is not great on the ball but the work he does without it is vital.

I would hope that McInnes wouldn't use the final as a game to experiment with the defense! It will remain as is, barring any injuries.

I have no idea how the midfield will look....I would like to see us starting with the same team we had for the Semi Final and bring Jack on later on.

We need the terrier in midfield. No question.

Flood is what helps us control midfield in any games. He gives the opposition no chance to settle & forces them to make mistakes & that is where we gain possession for the likes of Pawlett & McGinn etc.

Flood & Robson ran riot against celtic at the piggery in the cup. They were the driving force in midfield & the tims never got a look in.

Anyone that would drop Flood is a complete fucking balloon. Nae offence like.

Flood & Robson in midfield. Not to say that Jack wouldn't do well in there, but I wouldnt have him ahead of the other 2 for a cup final.

I would have absolutely no fear about getting beat in a cup final with Anderson, Reynolds, Flood & Robson as our spine.

any examples of Jack not being picked since McInnes was appointed? - it is a big call for Derek. I expect him to shoe horn all three in I am afraid
