i think we'll do well to get as much as that this time as some folk might 'save themselves for the final'

Yes but I think fewer will go to hampden. Shite venue, shite atmosphere. Capacity Easter road or Tynecastle rocking would have enticed a few more along but I accept that's reverse logic in many ways. And I'll believe 8,000 mortonians when I see them!

Having the bigger support should at least see us get the whole North Stand which in a shite venue is probably the best view.

Hampden should be fucking demolished and replaced with a 35,000 capacity stadium.

National games or finals or semi finals which draw a larger crowd can be played at Celtic Park.

If those games involve Celtic, then play it at ibrox.

If the cheeks meet in a semi or a final it can be played at Murrayfield (sorry Edinburgh).

Fucking ridiculous that the choice is between a 20,000 seater or 50,000 plus with no midrange.

Hampden is a shit stadium that wasn't required.

About 18,000 at most.

Easter Rod, Tynecastle or even a packed seething Tannadice would have been a great atmosphere.

I've changed my mind. After negotiations with work it has been agreed that I can start at 3pm that day in order to attend the semi, so Easter Road and/or a later kick-off can GTF.

If the game goes to extra-time I'll need to leave early and miss it. But if Morton manage to take us to extra-time then that probably means we're playing shite anyway.

Further to that, they have been told to do one by the venue (swg3) that they approached to host it

Vaguely worried about this one, if only because we're still not playing all that well.

Granted even not playing well we should still have enough for Morton, but any hint of complacency could see a repeat of a QotS-style cake-and-arse-party. This will be Morton's biggest game in fuck knows how long, and they'll be right up for it.

Hopefully McInnes will have the heads properly screwed on for this.
