Why is this even being talked about?

Hibs got 50:50 last season despite only having around 13-14k at the semi final in the Scottish Cup. .

Yeah, League Cup wasn't 50/50 as it was Ross County wasn't it? They only got allocated 7,000 for obvious reasons.

It will be 50/50, as others have said Celtic had a terrible attendance themselves, maybe it was even against Ross County, in a cup semi final last year.  They have some cheek complaining, assuming they are even complaining.

Celtic won't complain.  They won't need to.  The meeja will do it for them.

Tickets should be allocated to the fans as follows:

1) Season Ticket Holders

2) People with over a certain amount of loyalty points.  Perhaps in region of 50/60

3) People with neither the above 2 but attended the Q Final and Semi Final.

4) General Sale

Tickets are allocated by points. That's the whole point of points.

We're being allocated roughly double our average attendance, you'd have to be a pretty shitty fan to miss out.

Remember this is SPFL that organize this circus not SFA.

In saying that it will be a 50/50 split, surely, hopefully, got to be..

We should demand the east stand as it is obviously easier for the majority of our fans to get there from the east of the country.

Put the request into police scotland as it will make their job of segregation easier.

Saying that, the west stand is the better end, more boozers and access to the train

The west stand is known as the hun end and the east stand is known as the tim end.

Just something in scottish football that has always pissed me off, its an irrational hatred

I don't really agree with how the points system works.  There not recalculated each season.  I know of some folk who are on quite a lot of points due to the last 2 seasons but have not been near a single game this season.

weve had the home dressing room for the semi and the final. I'm sure the club are more bothered about that than which goal the fans are behind

and if the huns won yesterday we'd be moved to accommodate them..................as I said its an irrational hatred of the issue but it shows preference to two teams

I'm pretty sure that the dressing rooms are identical at hampden so doubt that makes a difference. Did a tour when I was about 12 and seem to remember they were the same...both very nice and about 10x better than pittodrie home dressing room.

Might as well get it out of the way now but I fucking hate that these cunts have their own end! :banghead:

Damned annoying but just one of those things, and they've each had their own dedicated 'end' of Hampden for over a century.

I think it's something to do with Glasgow bus routes... the ones from the east (Irish-Catholic) end of the city deposit folk closer to the east end of the stadium, whilst buses from the south and west run to Queens Park/Mount Florida/Cathcart Rd, i.e. the west end of the stadium. So having dedicated ends meant that the two supports could be kept relatively separate when they were playing each other.

Also, a century ago the Glasgow Cup was a major deal and they invariably ended up playing each other either in the semi-final or final, with a guaranteed attendance at Hampden of over 100,000. So you were pretty much guaranteed an OF game at Hampden at least once a season. Understandable that Glesga's finest would try to minimise the disruption, so the separate ends should be seen within that context.

But yes, damned annoying.

Because it's the Glasgow press and it will be seen as a disadvantage for us.

there should be no disadvantage to either team though, since it's supposed to be a neutral venue. is it not?
i don't know how they can justify doing anything other than a 50/50 split at the outset.
