Na, just make uni worthwhile, imo. Too many jobs that never needed a degree now do, things like HR, business admin etc. Go back to the tech college for most and keep uni for STEM subjects. I'm not one for nostalgia and things were better back then etc but when it comes to further education it was. People found their level and if they were late developers worked their way up. Do that and employers almost pay for the colleges and the gov can pay uni for those that will actually contribute when they get their degree
