RUL
U14's lost final v Motherwell on Saturday, clash of heads between two Aberdeen players probably a big moment in the game as took them out. U13's were in a round robin with Partick and Motherwell. Beat Partick 2-0 and drew 0-0 with Motherwell. Motherwell then beat Partick 4-2 scoring with last kick of the game to go into final 3. Aberdeen went into round robin with Dundee Utd and Dundee who both came second in their groups. U13's beat Dundee 4-0 and drew 1-1 with Dundee Utd. Has to be said all Aberdeen youth teams play excellent football, just need to be more clinical in final 3rd. Dundee Utd played a lot of good football as well I thought. Motherwell won U14's and U13's, absolutely massive teams playing very direct football. Think they have a policy of recruiting in this manner due to location they cannot get first rights on the most talented kids but it seems to be working. Link to comment

super_al
Considering Hearts, Celtic and Rangers U21’s all won this is a highly disappointing result. Link to comment
Frank Grimes
That’s two absolute shockers in the space of a month when you consider the result against Elgin Link to comment
The_Next_Legend
I thought our Youths used to at least be competative... I would ask if it's just too many young boys but Miko, Ethan, Seb, Dangana, Ruth, Antoinazzi... that's half the team who have been involved at first team level to some degree. Link to comment
BWG
Mind when folk were touting Sheerin as the successor to McInnes? Link to comment
StandFree1982
We can blame the results on the better youth players being in and around the first team and out on loan, but this will be the same for every youth team in the top division. It might be down to the fact that we're no longer competing in the reserve / u21 league anymore so our players aren't playing together as much as they used to? Maybe we shouldn't be reading too much into it, but that is 2 hammerings in a short space of time, so that's got to be a concern. Link to comment
strachanmcgheegoal
Said at the Elgin game the front two apart and the Ross in central midfield (Ethan?) the rest looked hoor of a, not unskilled, not off the pace just not enough! In fairness they were obviously that wee bit smaller than their mature opponents but even still. I’d love to think the training centre will make a difference. Link to comment
starryfish
When is the next reserve team match? Criminal that fringe players aren’t playing on a regular basis. Link to comment
