Aberdeen 3 - 2 Hearts

The Akinfenwa challenge on McKenna, he never once looked where McKenna was he watched the ball the whole time. There's noway there was malice in that, he's just a unit

But we should certainly be reporting Hertz to the League/SFA for fielding an ineligible player seeing as Akinfenwa plays for Wycombe Wanderers ana

I think he had him rattled but it's good for Scott development to be up against that. What he needs to do is put the cunt in his place next time at Tynecastle.

Ikpeazu isn't an idiot either. Almost immediately he's in a tussle with McKenna, tying to throw him around. Logan shoulder barges him and he goes down like a sack of tatties.

A very good result. Hearts will cause problems for the sides up the top as they are negative horrible cunts to play against.

They'll struggle v the dross as they dont create much.

We've scored a few goals of real quality so far this season. The 2nd and 4th on Thurs were outstanding and the 3rd yestarday was a cracker with the lovely wee backheel/flick to set it up.

I used the term 'hammer throwers' yesterday to describe Hearts, but have we as fans been softened to the physical aspects of the game.

I don't think so, no.

Levein's teams just play unattractive football and don't win anything, they are more intent at stopping other teams from playing than being positive themselves.  Levein won nothing as a player nor as a manager, so he and they are fair game and deserve all the abuse they get dished out at them.

Wasnt impressed with Aberdeen? of course you werent you fucking idiot, you wouldnt know a decent footballing side if it jumped up and bit you on the arse becasue you are a hearts fan, they are the worst footballing side in the Scottish premier, with the worst manager, not an interest in playing any football whatsoever, typified by the fact the youngest player on the park should have been sent off in the first half but rightfully got sent off in the end. they must learn that at the Acadamy? fucking horrible team.

Stuart Duff basically confirmed during the commentary that Levein coaches his team's to foul and make everything a scrap first.

With all due respect though, what went on 30+ years ago isn't relevant. The laws of the game are different today from what they were then.

Clare should've been off for his challenge on Wright, Ikpeazu was very lucky not to go for his "challenge" on McKenna + his persistent fouling, Lewis Ferguson was also lucky not to see red early in the 2nd half too. While Hickey was justifiably red carded.

The professional foul on Wright when he was away while there were two defenders still in front of him was never a red card.

Clare went right through Wright's achilles in the first half, made no attempt at the ball, tackle from behind. Any league with proper officiating that's a red card

A better referee would have seen us bury them.  3-2 flattered that mob.

Hearts were lucky to only have one sending off.  That referee had no control of the game and it was one of the worst displays I've seen for a while now.

Also - fuck P&B.

Got to disagree there.

His first look was to see where McKenna was and then he just ran straight towards him, looking aimlessly (not even at the ball)

He never once tried to control it.

It was malicious and deliberate.

Fcuking Huddy as they say

Agree on calling for a foul/card for every challenge. Irritates the fuck out of me, few of us were talking about this yesterday. Few folk around us near having heart attacks screaming for bookings/sending off etc.

Don't get me wrong Hearts are a physical shithouse of a team, however the reactions of some folk in the crowd to some of the tackles were cringy.

What is annoying is when there is no consistency from the ref.

A'bodys gan soft.

The fans can add to the pressure on the ref to give a card, thus hampering the opposition.

We should make it as intimidating as possible.

Correct. Not malicious per se but if the defender is going to do his job he knows he’s going to take a smack, and running in like that, someone will eventually be badly hurt.

Does that against the arse cheek £7m boy in Glasgow and I’ll guarantee he’s straight off. And rightly so.
