Manchurian one of the best in toon. Or at least it was. The giveaway is the number of Chinese who eat there. Hong Kong Cafe in the New Market my favourite, and the Thai places either side are also superb, Madame Mews in particular. I lived in HK for six years. Chinese cuisine is awesome (although I avoided the hard core chicken feet etc.)

Forgot all about Manchurian. Aye its the business (or was, not been for donkeys)

Sampled the chicken feet in thailand, hammered drunk. Ate a few so couldnt have been too bad. Wouldnt eat sober tho. Ditto chicken hearts in the Brazilian places.

Been to the Hong Kong cafe and it was decent.

It still open KSL? Nae saw it on the delivery sites for a while.

Got one from Good Taste in Torry the other night it was decent enough.

Canton House in Woodside is good but nae on any delivery sites.

Canton House will always be the king of Oriental takeaways in Aberdeen. Doesn't do delivery and doesn't take card (unless that's changed recently). Best pancake rolls you'll ever eat.

Country club for supper tonight.

Lentil soup to start.

Roast for main (went for some pork and gammon, battered pineapple on the side).

Banoffee pie for pudding.

Mrs deff had the same, but swapped the banoffee for sticky toffee pudding.

Mac n cheese/chips then ice cream for the bairn.

All for under £35...bloody luxury.

Was it a 80s theme night?

Not had a decent Chinese takeaway for a while now despite trying various different ones.

Get the impression they have swapped fresh ingredients for convenience and buying stuff in bulk that they can just heat up.

As a result the Indian takeaway wins in our household and some crackers on the go. The one up Balnagask (Ayisha I think) is fantastic, looks like a shite hole from outside but decent dishes.
