Good posts from DD1903 and Manboobs re the drug problems.

Another issue is that junkies will take anything they get their hands on, often all at once - which can cause chaos.  Its not like they are discerning / fussy or predictable individuals.

And the consumption rooms: the minute they get proposed we hit a brick wall - because no-one wants them in or near their own neighbourhoods.  So where to put them?  You can guarantee Chief Mammy Sturgeon will baulk at having one around the corner from Bute House.

Ultimately the SNP control the Police and education, that is all that's needed to fix the hard drugs problem.  However, they have made a pigs ear of education and Humza's priority for the Police is to arrest people for what they have said in the privacy of their own home.  Surely people didnt think "alexa" was just a convenient way to play music or check the weather?

I need to discover religion. Any religion. I can't handle this.

Well, you would need to discover humility and objectivity first - forgive me if I don't hold my breath.

(Also, "any" religion doesn't cut it.  Only the divinely instituted Catholic faith is worth a man's time, and only then in its traditional expression.)

You come across as someone frustrated with religion because you want to "get it" but don't.

You are right there is a lot of corruption in the Church, but one must be able to differentiate between the Church as an spotless institution and the flaws of its members.

Bergoglio - the useless spick currently polluting the Throne of St Peter - is hugely corrupt, but he gets a free pass from the media.  Why?  Because they recognise him as one of their own and he peddles their agenda.

My god's better than your god?

WOW. Brilliant.

These times are interesting, as we hear talk of a VONC against the FM, due to the fact she demonstrably lied to Parliament about her knowledge of the false allegations about Salmond. Her corruption doesn't surprise me, but it gives me pause for thought; the media and wider establishment are giving her a relatively easy ride lately, largely because she is the “safe” option and least threat to the union. That will not have gone unnoticed among unionist MSP’s, therefore, what is to say she won’t survive a VONC based on some of them giving her a stay of execution, believing it better to prop up a lame duck FM who won’t pursue independence?

As I've said since 2016, she and her husband will sail through the 2021 elections, with unbridled power to realise her nutjob MacWoke policies with no opposition, either within or out with her party and, worse of all, no pressure to deliver an independence referendum before 2026, which barring a miracle the SNP will also win at a canter. As to where that leaves Scotland, however...

For the record, not only is Humza a sinister authoritarian who is Krankie MacMerkel's token 'affirmative action'-style minority candidate who gets promoted beyond his abilities at every turn, he is also an extreme hypocrite. You cannot be as devout a Muslim as he claims, yet also be as big a homosexual rights advocate and unequivocal gender equality (including every letter of the alphabet soup) supporter. His Hate Crime Bill (and subsequent comments about criminalising speech in the home) is about power, plain and simple. Homosexuals, feminists and minorities are just Yousaf-ul idiots for his power play and if Scotland has any sense, this hateful legislation will be tossed into the dustbin of history before it gets off the ground.

Krankie MacMerkel

MacWoke

My predictions are always correct

Join us for another game of Jocky Balboa SNP bingo soon.

For the record, I have NEVER said all my predictions are correct, ever (I'd be a very rich man if they were, it goes without saying). That is a mere strawman argument where you either can't or won't offer a cohesive counter-argument to any of the points I've made.

I personally am dismayed at the fact Scots on both sides of the constitutional fence have settled for such poor representation.

That "krankie McMerkel" shite is horrendous though. You should acknowledge that. Not even someone who agrees with you will find it funny. At its most basic level, it's just awful patter.

If you don't like it, fair play, but I note the following:

You take umbrage with my making a dig at a few useless politicians, but tickle yourself pink while you and your cronies tackle such grown up topics as relieving your bladders on yourselves while drunk, or debating the merits and/or colour of your last defecation. Who is the childish one now, hirsute one?

Putting aside the above, it is notable that the likes of yourself and Henry feel compelled enough about this thread to dig at me, but yet offer no counter-argument to any of the points within. Perhaps you would like to take the opportunity to show your maturity and add something more to the debate?

For instance, are you comfortable with Humza and his Hate Crime Bill not only existing, but stretching to include speech from within the privacy of one's own home? Do you recognise his hypocrisy, in simultaneously playing the Muslim and equality cards, knowing full well you cannot advocate Islam and gay/feminist rights?

What are your thoughts on the GRA reforms in their present form, which allow self-identification and thus leave a door wide open for perverts to invade women's spaces and compete in women's social and sporting events, despite the biological realities?

I will also add that those who parrot the "SNP until independence" need to examine their own conscience here. They have long held the belief that independence was a chance to take a different path to the UK's trajectory (I agree wholeheartedly with this) but to ignore corruption, destruction of liberties and outright lunatic policies is NOT a good look and ignoring this until independence (if it indeed happens, given the SNP lack of priority) makes us no better than those we seek to part from.

I will also add something else into the mix, as food for thought;

A lot of YES supporters and 'soft NO' voters, both from 2014, demand another independence vote off the back of Brexit. While this is democratically justified, insofar as it was clearly in the SNP May 2016 manifesto, the SNP leadership's lack of progress since tells its own story and I won't bother repeating it here. I will say however, that the faux outrage and surprise suggests many among the two aforementioned voter groups were either insincere or misinformed, as it was clear from the UK's direction of travel as far back as 2010 that not only was an EU referendum inevitable, but the mood in England in particular was that it would likely only go one way and Scotland would indeed be "taken out of the EU against our will".

Being either insincere or misinformed won't go across well to the still substantial bloc of undecided voters who will ultimately decide the outcome of any independence vote. Thinking that Brexit means it's in the bag is foolish and misguided, not least because poll after poll shows 35-40% of independence supporters voted Leave. The EU and independence are two separate issues and must remain as such.

Oh I see, the fact that he chooses pet names "spoils his case"?

Whatever happened to substance over style?

That's a fucking ridiculous thing to post. That's as bad as "too long, didn't read". You might as well just advertise the fact that your critical thinking capacity has a massive hole in it, a prejudice towards language or words that prevents you listening, the TL;DR brigade advertising that their attention spans are gnattish.

I disagree. He should stay professional instead of being child like.

You just spoil your case by using ridiculous names. I’d take you more seriously if you called her Sturgeon than Jimmy McKrankerkle or whatever it is. Makes you seem like a child.

Once again, you neglect to address my points, most notably that you participate in juvenile threads about soiling oneself whilst inebriated, and deliberating over the colour and texture of random defecations. That is the kind of garbage most  people grow out of as they leave their teens, so who are you to criticise me? You are nothing more than a hypocrite.

That said, your discerning point is noted, though I could call the Dear Leader many other things, given she is under investigation and during the course of which, has been found to have demonstrably lied to Parliament. I know more than I can legally say at present, but she has already handsomely rewarded at least one of the Alphabet Sisters and word is at least one other is standing as a candidate for 2021... after a court threw out their false allegations. Salmond is no saint, that is very true, but absolutely nothing excuses stitching someone up over false sex allegations, for it not only destroys the reputations of many innocent men, it makes it harder for genuine victims to be taken seriously and see justice. Horrendous behaviour for people entrusted to run the country, whichever colour they wear.

Sturgeon and Murrell are up to their necks in corruption and are not fit to hold office and I say that as someone who backed the SNP when first old enough to vote in 1999 and backed a YES vote in 2014. What's the point in independence, if the same corruption reigns supreme and if the same chancers like Alyn Smith and Pete Wishart have their noses in the trough?

If you weren't so fucking lazy and could spell and punctuate properly, you wouldn't lose credibility. You're doing damage to our cause. It's ok though, we will have factories and mines for the likes of you to make your contribution. Probably not the latter for coal right enough given the commitment to the environment but we should put the worst of Scotland down mines for good chunks of the week so the rest of us didn't have to look at you.

Who are we to judge?

In my work I teach the difference between personal preferences and non-negotiable fundamentals. How he chooses to express himself is not our business. We either accept differences between us or we are unable to, almost always due to our own prejudgements and prejudices.

You would get more respect if you were not such a fucking hypocrite.
