Aberdeen 3 - 2 Hearts

Recommended Posts

First domestic game of the season for Dandies. The dons must be on guard against a backlash from HMFC following their league cup loss to East Fife!

Injured: Devlin, Taylor

Doubtful: Leigh, McLennan

Need to see what's what ob Thursday first before having a stab at the team but hopeful the Dons can kick off the season with a home win!

Prediction: 2-1 Bryson and Main

Hopefully Leigh will be back but lack of match fitness would be a concern. What is actually wrong with Devlin anyway? Hopefully a good performance on Thursday will give the team confidence for this game but I do fear it will be a struggle on Sunday. Still say 2-1 Dandies tho

Hearts have signed Naismith, which wasn't unexpected. But on a 4 year deal. He turns 33 next month. Must be one of top earners, possibly top earner, at the club now as well. Not sure that's a great piece of business.

Was always a dangerous player but a 4 year deal on someone approaching 33 is a bit naive on their part. I'd be happy to let our young up and comers to be unleashed on him.

He'll be one of the best players in the league this season... but will be interesting to see how quickly he tails off.  As you mention, 4 years on top dollar, is a gamble.

Probably feel he will do a Kenny Miller and keep playing at a high standard until then. He's a good player but that is some commitment. Maybe coaching role on the horizon.
