As far as brexit goes, he is a big tent politicians who brings together a diverse group of eurosceptics from across the political spectrum.

He's a far right populist, and that's me being generous. That his party got a lot of votes from Brexit supporters because it was called the Brexit party and has one policy which is to "do Brexit" doesn't change his political ideology.

I don't like it that he says division is "also" the fault of remainers.

Division is solely the fault of remainers, who have refused to accept a democratic vote and tried to over-turn it.

He also perpetuates the scare stories, with reference to a "reckless Brexit that rightwing politicians seem hellbent on pursuing, whatever the cost"

I'd say one side blaming everything on the other side is pretty divisive

There is no different between the left and right in the UK political class.

The two extremes Corbyn and Farage are both posh wankers happy to show distain to the real working class (Scotland especially).

1. There is no left wing equivalent to Farage, he is a far right populist. Corbyn is a democratic socialist doing his best to drag the Labour party to the centre left.

2. Who are the "real working class"?

3. How have Farage and Corbyn in particular shown disdain to them?

1. They are both pro-unionist, pro-brexit, posh London centric cunts.

2. People who rely on a weekly wage to not enter into debt. Ie not the middle class and upper classes who would be able to survive with a loss of work for an extended period of time.

3. Any individual who wants to pull us out of the EU with no plan is doing fuck all positive for workers rights and protections. Corbyn forcing companies to give up a percentage share while a good sound bite is completely unworkable.

For example, employees working at an apple store, even if the workers were given 10% of "Apple retail UK" it would be shown to make zero profit.

The only way something like this can work is on a global scale. Corbyns protectionism might help a few UK workers but it'd fuck a lot more and numerous times more workers in other countries.

He is right in that we need a fairer capitalist system but he should try doing a proper days work or two before he imagines up ideas that will have terrible consequences for all.

You may not like the globalised economy the UK has become but to turn it around it needs to be done slowly or business and the rich will fuck off asap. Leaving us with fuck all.

Yup, I was among a noticeable minority that predicted back in 2014 that the Tories would win in 2015, that there would be a vote on the EU (with England opting to leave) and that BoJo the Clown would one day be PM. NO voters (especially Labour types) said I was either ignorant and/or scaremongering, or nuts. I was none of those things. I just knew from living in England for over seven years, until late 2013, that the direction of travel there was not a pretty one. I have little time for the current SNP leadership and voted to leave the EU myself, but even I know the divergence between our countries in recent decades has been seismic - and irreversible.

I think Scotland needs to have the conversation with itself again and ask if this really is the best we can do. I know we can do better, but as an expat I don't have a vote, though I know which way I'd go if I did.

Get off your knees, Scotland!

I think BoJo will be our best PM in a good while,if he makes it.

A "one man melting pot" to use his own term, funny, charismatic and - like his politics or not - an actual person, as opposed to a politician.  When was the last time we could say that? Thatcher probably.

He was a success as mayor of london and he will be a success as PM, if he makes it.

I like him.

An excellent way to gauge someone, regardless of situation, or walk of life, is to think: would I enjoy having a pint with this person?  I think Boris would be highly entertaining over a pint.

In contrast, who would enjoy a pint with Theresa May, Jeremy Corbyn, Nicola Sturgeon etc?  They would be a fate worse than death, genuinely awful.

He wouldn’t enjoy having a pint with you, more likely to view you as a down trodden oink from Strathclyde not worthy of his time.

Trump has ramped up denaturalisation of people who became citizens. They're stripping people of their citizenship and kicking them out of the country based largely on skin colour, but under the pretense of them having 'criminal records'.

Canada is appealing to me.  Wide open spaces, fairly liberal society, no Donald Trump or Boris Johnson.

If Brexit and Boris turn Britain into the Third World shithole they're expected to then, as you say, wait until the dust settles and move back in and buy the place up.
