Currently, the Prime Minister of the UK, the First Minister of Scotland, the First Minister of Wales and the Mayor of London are all from a minority ethnic background. As is the Labour Leader in Scotland, who will likely be the next First Minister. But, Humza thinks the UK is "institutionally racist". A good indicator of how cheap talk of "racism" has become in todays world. Where do you stand politically. I don't mean party wise I mean politically. I've been reading some of your comments and am having trouble pinning you down. Link to comment

The doctrines of the Roman Catholic church have been changed a lot in recent decades in order to maintain support in modern society. It's almost unrecognisable but claiming the Pope isn't a proper catholic does seem a touch extreme. Link to comment

I am inclined towards traditionalism, conservatism and libertarianism (I don't consider that the latter is at loggerheads with the former two). As a Christian, I am concerned with an equitable society, but can see at the same time how the politically driven welfare state has ruined Scotland (e.g. quarter of a million scots on long term sickness benefit - an obvious piss take). I think that the total absence of real values from modern mainstream politics is a big problem. The lack of values is highlighted both by the social problems this absence causes and by the total rubbish which dominates modern political discourse. Link to comment

It's almost unrecognisable but claiming the Pope isn't a proper catholic does seem a touch extreme. No doctrine of faith has changed formally, but they have often created a split between doctrine and practice. Most of the Church modern problems (at least in the west) arise from these changes or perception of changes. The abandonment of traditional catechesis plus the underhand & illicit replacement of the Universal Catholic Mass (in favour of regionally influenced protestant worship) have both been devastating. Currently the typical Catholic parish in Scotland is a dying and aimless entity, little more than a social hub for elderly ladies. All the vigour and life in the Church is drawn towards traditional (i.e. authentic) Catholicism, a trend which the hated Francis has tried to stop, even as his own misguided generation's "Nu Church" continues to fall down around them. Just as the Conservative party is going to lose the next election for not being Conservative enough, so too the Church declines for not being traditional enough. Link to comment
