can we do it? What would be your tactics to beat them? We know they have a better team and so far we've been poor against them in games...it can't just be an improved performance...McInnes needs to find a solution to the leaky defence!

Lewis
Considine
Taylor
Reynolds
Logan
Hayes
Shinnie
Jack
Mcginn
McLean
Rooney

That has to be the team. It is the line up that is capable of a big performance. Obviously whether or not they will bring it is a different question.

Yup Taylor is liable to fuck up, however we just have to hope he brings his A game for the entire match.

agree on the team. thats the first pick side

stockley, storey, alexander and pawlett unlikely to be in anyones team. O'Connor is the only question

O'Connor is spoiled goods against them. He can play them in the league dead rubber and cause serious injury to Brown or Gordon.

The one thing nagging me is DMC putting on O'Connor when he did. If he felt the need to do that against Hibs when we still had some control of the game then what would he do against that lot? I'd like to think that he'd just set up an attacking team and just tell the players to go out and enjoy the occasion. Obviously I don't want us to get humped and there still has to be some sort of shape to the team but the Tims don't like you running at them and if we can get our attacking players to have the game of their lives then there is a chance. The defence just can't afford to be stupid in possession either

Is Rooney really suited to a game well probably be looking to counter attack? I'm tempted to suggest we need more mobility up front for this one.

Brown needs to be taken out. He ran the game against the filth. Shinnie the man to do that.

So long as lessons have been learned from the LCF we can do it.

We'll have to play as well as we've played all season to do it.

Didn't DMC say he brought on O'Connor to help countebth effect of holt? I can't see Celtic going down the route of lumping it forward. Celtic will come and play one way because let's face, they can.

It's up to us to get right at them and make them feel uncomfortable from the start. If we stand off them like we did in the league cup final they will carve us open and stroll passed us as if we aren't even there.

Some big performances are required from Jack, Hayes, McTim and McLean. On their days these four are great but they can be posted missing.

We've failed to be stand up and be counted against Celtic all season and also against rangers. It's going to take more that how we've played all season. That won't be enough IMO

What's wrong with what I said?

You said you think we need to play how we have all season, I disagree because the way we've played has seen us come up short against Celtic and arguably rangers in one off matches.

It's hardly a negative comment.

I reckon DMC's plan was to bed O'Connor in as Reynolds was never going to last 90 mins but the dozy fuckers switched off.

I am pretty sure he will go with a pretty defensive team in the final at least for the 1st 60 minutes (unless the wheels come off earlier)

Celtic are good no doubt about it but a team just needs to get in their faces. The way we set about Hearts a few weeks ago or the first 11 seconds of the semi.

We also need a decent ref and luck but alas doubt if we will get either

O'Connor should start brilliant assist for the Hayes winner in the semi final.

Well surely we can't be as bad as we were in the LCF......?  Surely.

If we turn up and give it a right good go I'll be more than happy, you never know what might happen on the day.

The way things are going though we'll need them to be well off their game and us to be at our very best.  A few injuries to their key players wouldn't go amiss either, although it's frankly frightening to see Griffiths, Forrest and Rogic coming off the bench for them.

If Rangers lose at the weekend and we win then that is the league over and McIness has got pretty much a month to concentrate on the final.

Without a doubt. But if Brown were to do it to Shinnie then it would be ok, just a wee talking too before his umpteenth unpunished foul

Certainly need some big performances here. Can't afford to carry the usual passengers.

Interesting to see who the man in black will be.

The Northern Lights of old Aberdeen

Mean home sweet home to me

The Northern Lights of Aberdeen

Are what I long to see

I've been a wanderer all of my life

And many a sight I've seen

God speed the day when l'm on my way

To my home in Aberdeen!!

For once can we just get stuck into them, might as well go down fighting, rather than our usual pathetic efforts this season.

With all this shit talk about The Rangers needing £50 Million to challenge Celtic what realistic figure would the Don's need for players to put any pressure on Celtic for the title next season.

Purely hypothetical as Milne not about to open his wallet, or is he.

Whistle happy ref is not what we need. We need someone like the fat cunt Madden, more likely to let the game flow and allow us to get stuck in. You're right though, it will be Gollum or Thompson.
