Reserve & Youth Teams Thread

Scoreline flattered the young Dons a bit.  Dee had just pulled a goal back when they had Neale Allan sent off for a last man challenge.  Bruce scored his hat-trick from the resultant free kick and Dee's heads went down.  Connor Barron could consider himself fortunate he was only booked in the 1st half for a similar last man challenge to the one the Dee player was sent off for. Dee's foreign keeper was poor and should have done better with at least 2 of the goals. Sam Jackson made a couple of really good stops.  Derek McInnes was in the stand beside Gordon Marshall.

Do the reserves play the same formation and tactics as the first team or has Sheerin got them playing differently?

Interesting. So Bruce Anderson plays the lone front role?

Do we play the ball long to him like we do Cosgrove?

I only really watch the youth teams. They tend to be more like our side before Hayes left. We do tend to have big centre forwards but also pace in wide players. Fullbacks get forward a lot. They tend to play more from back but do try and get ball in behind for wingers. Each team tends to have a giant centre half too. Some good talent there. Simmy son is in there he’s good. Aberdeen play some lovely football. I think u15s are undefeated in about 18 months.
