What a joy it was to see someone from midfield come short to the goalkeeper to collect the ball. Not had that since McLean and previously Jack. Ferguson and Shinnie are both great players but far too similar and resorted in a lot of blood and thunder football. There was a point yesterday where Ferguson was caught with the ball after a pass from McKenna. McKenna got a lot of stick but Ojo was taking the same pass constantly and spreading the play.

I still feel it was a bad pass from McKenna.  Hung Lewis out to dry a bit.

Ferguson shouldn't be coming short asking for it if he's unaware of what's behind him though. He had the ball under control before he was tackled.

Disagree totally. Ferguson definitely should be doing that. It's up to McKenna to see that Ferguson is marked. What Ferguson does by doing that is pulls an opponent with him and opens up space for someone else to receive the ball from McKenna.

Agreed Parkie.  End of the day McKenna is the one who has the ball and the decision to make.  He chose wrong.  Imagine Considine had done it, he'd be crucified.

And yet Ojo does the same and manages to control the ball, turn and lay it off to a team mate.

No. The most immediate difference is that he controls, turns, lays it off and immediately goes looking for the return.

Special mention also for playing the pass in front of the advancing team mate, not to feet or behind him slowing up the move.

Glad someone spotted that, getting that pass right shows great technique
