Scottish Cup 2017/18

In what way has the draw made the replay tougher?

Because the two strongest teams are meeting in the other semi final so there will only be one of them to beat to win the cup for whoever gets to the final.

Us & Killie wanted an arse cheek semi final for the easiest route possible to the final. We got this.

Killie seem more capable of raising their game than we do in bigger games.

Do you not think Killie would have gotten a lift from the draw knowing they avoided the potential of having to beat both the arse cheeks.

I think with it being a final with the comradery of the cup, one off game and final day of the football calendar it makes any NORMAL person think they are in with a fighting chance.

We're not a bad side and capable of giving anyone on our day a game. After all, its 11 men vs 12 men at the end of the day. Anything can happen, right?

There's nowhere in the world I'd rather be at 3pm on Scottish Cup Final day than in Hampden (Murrayfield), with my mates in amongst the Dandies end watching Aberdeen take field.

So fucking right I think we'll win the cup and fuck you for saying we wont.

Maybe just me.

Both teams would have been happy with the draw you dafty, it'll have absolutely no effect on the game.

Yet you left out the part in my post that said that.

They have a better big game mentality than us this season. They can raise their game in them. We haven't managed that this season.

Plus they left Pittodrie feeling they could have won after that second half.

We will have gotten a lift from the draw but they will have gotten a bigger one.

We've got a better record between the 2 of us

A cup quarterfinal replay is a bigger game. A knock out game.

Big game mentality

We are bottlers. They finished the game on Sat the stronger team.

The incentive increased with an easier draw.

The game like I said (if anything) is tougher for us now.

If you're serious then just don't bother with football. You clearly get no enjoyment out of it.

You're a sad bastard if you don't want to get to the final just for the day out.

Just imagine the feeling as we head to Hampden in May to play Celtic, having lost 11 in a row, and fully expecting it to be 12, but somehow (no idea how to be honest) we beat them. So what was meant to just be a day out turns into a glorious not to be beaten feeling. That's what makes us fans and that's why we love our team - so yes plenty of reason to be down at the moment but you can't ever give up hope.

Sometimes you need to lose (okay maybe not 10 soon to be 11 times) to get even more enjoyment out of the winning.

I guess if even Mackie can score a winner against them in the cup in Glasgow. There is even hope for Maynard to do the same.

I hate football, I hate Aberdeen, I hate life and I hate myself.

There is no hope. On a long enough timeline everything dies and life is meaningless.

There is no hope.

I blame Friedrich Nietzsche, and Anthony O’Connor.

I wonder when Nietzsche said " what is wonder in man is that he is a bridge and not a goal" - did he have Nicky Maynard in mind?

I don't know what the Scottish Cup final was like but the 'day out' part of the League Cup final was fucking horrendous.

Shite traffic for hours. Got in the ground, gave it laldy, then 1 second after the game kicked off everyone sat down and the man behind me with his kids asked me to sit down. No one sang.

We (Aberdeen FC) then got shagged to death while being serenaded with ear splittingly loud tim songs.

A far cry from Razor's romantic view.

You're one negative prick. Every post.

We were indeed poor v killie. A killie that are apparently fucking awesome and beat everyone....They still didn't beat Aberdeen, did they? We have an excellent record at rugby park, don't we?... I know who my money would be on.

Oh and Motherwell will be shite on the big Hampden pitch with that team. Will also be without their captain which they are fucking gutted about. I know who my money would be on.

Fuck of negative prick.

You agree we were shit against Killlie and even a thick moron like you must know Well pumped us home and away, so my post is fact not negativity. I loath a dick like you acting the big man behind your computer. Fucking big man I think not

Heyyy come on now son - you're letting the doomsdayers drag you down. And fear not - this is the last one; hence why its the Cup as a whole, as opposed to a one off game. I just want one to work, so we can do the whole immortalising of the good folks on the list in marble outside the new stadium as Sooper-hanz said. That would be all Id need to send to me to the grave a happy cunt.

Add my name to that list. We're taking that baby home.
