I can't imagine Ace Rothstein in Casino looking quite as cool if he was on the e-cigs.

If you're stupid enough to smoke, you may as well go all out.

For the record, I don't mind people smoking near me and am not fanatical about the subject like fatshaft

It's these folk who must have their 20 a day who are the most bizarre.

They constantly moan about the price of fags and how they can't afford it.

And then continually smoke well over £50 a week's worth.

For the life of me, I cannot work that out.

Just cut down, even if you canna stop ffs.

the cost is a big misnomer.

equal to what - 2/3 pints?

that last me about an hour in the pub.

canna imagine many folk getting through a pack of twenty lammy bammys in an hour.

Aye but if you can't afford it, why do it?

What do fags do anyway?

Stress you out, that's what.

So you are stressed out about paying for something which strings you out even more.

The makers of these fags were not born yesterday when they came up with their cunning plan.

For the record, neither was I.

Then one day I dropped my Mrs and daughter (freshly out of her bath) who was under a year old, off at the in-laws while I quickly ran round to the Minker shops. Was five minutes at most, tooted and they came out, daughter stuck right into the front still in her carry car seat.

She absolutrely stunk of fags, it was disgusting, but more than that, my daughter had been bourne with breathing difficulties, yet these ignorant bastards just puffed away like nothing happened.

Fucking minky cunts.

ban flavoured and slim cigarettes if you want. increase package labelling size of horrendous photos of what happens to your body when you smoke as well.

but i'm not sure i see the value of restricting the sale of electronic cigarettes. i think a number of people have used these effectively to quit smoking, and if they were restricted or more expensive, might well not have tried them. i don't think i've read or heard of anyone being harmed using them either, so additional testing/restrictions seem unnecessary, no?

I think, and rightly so, they are looking to get the fake fags both tested and regulated as patches, mists etc are rather than totally restricting the sale. At the moment in most of Europe anyone at any age can go into a shop and legally buy one of these, they'll be looking to place a minimum age on it as well.

I dont actually think the fake fag is a good way to stop, all you are doing is replacing the habit. Its a good way to stop inhaling benzene, formaldehyde, ammonia etc but that IMO isnt stopping. They also have no idea what inhaling vaporised nicotine does that burned doesnt etc.

An offshore operator is to ban e-cigarettes from North Sea platforms after one overheated while it was charging.

Talisman Sinopec Energy UK said the ban would take effect from Sunday.
A spokesperson said: "The decision was taken following an incident on one of our platforms when an e-cigarette overheated while it was charging, resulting in minor damage to property.
"We are aware that other operators in the UKCS have taken a similar stance."
The spokesperson added: "The safety and health risks have also been highlighted by (industry body) Oil and Gas UK."

Safer just banning offshore workers.
