Milne In Tax Trouble?

Recommended Posts

he ran up the debt?

aye, he was trying to support the countless incompetent managers we had

it was the managers who spent it

he also was guarantor anyway, so it wasnt going to be an issue

the level of disrespect he gets is extremely disrespectful

He appointed the managers.

He gave them the money to spend.

He is at fault.

shut your mouth

if it wasnt for him, we might likely not be in existence

hes guarantored our debt and he's given us consistently one of the biggest budgets in the league

show some respect

He saved us from the debt that largely accumulated under his Chairmanship... giving millions we couldn't afford to untested and incompetent managers.

Seems like a sound policy.

Any cunt who thinks Milne has put one iota of his own money into the club is living in cloud cuckoo land...he's a slippery cunt of a man who is an embaressment not only to the club but also the city...

Do you know Milne, have you spoken to him, were does your knowledge on Milne comes from, easy to accuse.

First point Milne has stayed and covered Aberdeens debt to the bank.

Second point did you hear is emotions during the last league cup final, when we won the cup.

He has his failings, and trying to run a club with the finicial climate was always going to be hard.

Give the man a little bit of credit, and enjoy the resurgence of Aberdeen at this time.

Chill and post something positive.

To address your first point... A debt largely run up under Milne's time in charge, with virtually zero investment taken in. Not to mention share issues that resulted in no improvement to the club's facilities either in terms of a new stadium or even a training ground where the public can't let their dogs take a shite.

To address your second point... so what? His emotions are irrelevant to the absolute abortion he has made of running Aberdeen Football Club. Unless his plan was to run the club into the ground, in which case he deserves plaudits, because he did that in spades.

We're no longer financially circling the drain because the Donalds handed over a stack of cash, not because Milne opened his wallet.

Your first point is garbage, our club needed to work within its budget for years, and still does, reason for not overspending, which was caused by spending too much by some of our previous managers on a poor performing teams.

Second point makes no sense and just grabbing at straws, Milnes failures have been appointing managers that never succeed in taking the club further, even when cost cutting was needed. Milne is a true supporter, an average chairman, who has passed the baton to another who is more efficient in business matters.

The issues you stated, started with Ian Donald as chairman, who tried to emulate his father's success, during the clubs greatest time on the field of play.

Look at the whole picture, its easy to blame.

Your 'refutation' of the first point is garbage. Our club needed to work within its budget because Milne allowed latterly Miller and entirely Aitken, two guys who hadn't managed a football team in their lives, to spend millions on pish footballers on outrageous wages, there was no 'living within our means' under Milne. Even Skovdahl was allowed to spend stupid amounts on substandard players and wages, and when it became obvious that Mile's appointments were hopeless.. Milne's appointments were hopeless... THEN, when we were many millions in the red, THEN Milne crippled the budget and hired an alcoholic to manage the team.

Yor refutation of the second point makes no sense. Milne's appointments, usually operating on the third largest budget, far, far from 'not succeeding in taking the club further' in fact had Aberdeen playing at near relegation standards. And as Milne's appointments that IS his responsibility. He can't just wash his hands of his own appointments and say, "Ach, that's no my fault." Because as the guy in charge it IS his fault. What IS clutching at straws is saying the performance of Milne's appointments isn't his fault.

Given the length of time he's had in the Chairman's seat he's pretty fucking far from an 'average' chairman, given the performance of the club as a football team and a business under his leadership. He's an abysmal chairman.

It's "easy to blame" because Milne's time in charge has been fucking disastrous.

If you think AFC has performed 'average' either on or off the park for a club with the third largest support (which he saw decline year upon year when HIS appointments had us playing the worst football in living memory)...

I fully agree with your last point. The level of disrespect he gets IS extremely disrespectful.

He has earned a lot more disrespect than he's actually been given over the years.

Fans of our club seem to conveniently forget that this is the chairman who sided with Celtic , to keep the corrupt voting structure in place.

& If he had got his way we would be in the 10 team league - to feed off the then old firm, against the vast majority of fans views. remember..

He is not suited to be a chairman, any more than I am.

P.S.

not to mention it took some private individual to come along and pay off our debt ( who probably has less wealth than Milne ).

  • 1 year later...

Investigation reveals the Parkhead chief executive, along with several former players and managers, are linked to a massive tax dodge.

That is some list of ex players on that list :swear:

Oh God. Now gonna be faced with heaps of thick Huns screaming from the rooftops, because they are too stupid to understand the intricacies of their case and that their troubles were ultimately caused by them being liquidated.

"See Sellik done the same fing big man! How come yous have no put them down to division 3? Because you've got an agenda against the rangers bryraway!!"
