Monkey
Confirmed on club site now as well http://www.afc.co.uk/news/9111.php#.WIemkXTfWhA Aberdeen FC can confirm this evening that Ryan Christie has signed on loan from Celtic until the end of the season. The paperwork for the 21-year old midfielder has now been completed and he will train with his new teammates tomorrow morning. Derek McInnes told afc.co.uk: "I am delighted to get a player of Ryan's quality into the club. "We want to make a couple of additions in the January window - quality additions - and there is no doubt Ryan has the quality to come in and make an impact with us. Ryan can help us with the challenges that lie ahead during the second half of the season. "I would also like to thank Brendan Rodgers and Celtic for assisting in getting the deal done." Dynamo
Christie improves our team. Currently Scott Wright doesn't. we use the youth system for our young players too. that tweet is quite amusing. Funny how stuff comes back to you. Link to comment
King Street Loon
I like him. Best footballer in our team now.I fucking hated Aberdeen in 2012 too. There wasn't much to like about us then right enough.I agree, I think he is going to be a good signing.Technically he's a step up on most of our players. Was always a player that gave me cause for concern whenever he played against us. Link to comment
reekie_dock
A Rangers pal oh mine just sent it to me also seems the Huns are worried ??? Link to comment
Jds192
Can tell Rangers fans are rattled by the signing when the first thing they do is search his twitter history. Christie will have grown up and be one of our best players as opposed the Joey Barton to Celtic fan on twitter or just took the piss and their money. Link to comment
strachanmcgheegoal
Will get us second and our existing 11 will take care of the cup semi against his parent club leaving cunto's for the final. But it means Maddison/Hayes are away. If it's the former I'll cope, just. Link to comment
Redstar
There wasn't much to like about us then right enough. It was when the club was at it lowest...the GWT had played his joker...building his team around two old half crocked hun pals...Rae and Hughes ffs...no wonder the cunt wanted fuck all to do with us. 1 Link to comment
BWG
Maddison definitely won't be back. Christie will be in for a frosty reception on Friday. Link to comment

Zeus
Aberdeen mad just now  " Having supported the club with 4 season tickets following liquidation of the Hun, unfortunately the way we and Scottish football are heading feel next season I will be out" "One of the worst signings for a long, long, long time" Link to comment
muttonhumper
Happy with this. Far better option than Maddison I'd say. Link to comment
Ernie McCracken
Great signing - Maddison definitely not coming back. Reeks of the tims backing us in our 2nd place battle with the scum cunts, which is pretty funny. Give us a shotty of Griffiths too tims.Good player. Happy and utterly depressed at the same time. This league is fucked up. 1st place loaning 2nd place elect a player. Shows how utterly beneath them we are. I'm not the dude on Ab mad, but I'm considering not renewing. We've got the best squad and manager I can recall yet we don't stand a fucking chance. Milne and yule need to shake off their obsession with preserving our place as the bully's pathetic little side kick. The league needs to ripped up and reconstructed completely. Wage caps, redistribution of funds. Otherwise what is the fucking point. Only other solution is for Celtic and Rangers to leave to the Epl or some Atlantic league shite. Link to comment
strachanmcgheegoal
Diamond with our existing middle 3 with Hayes and Rooney up front? Then at two up we take off Considine, stick on McGinn and blow the division (apart from Celtic) away! Disagree re Maddison. He was 19, supremely gifted and raw as fuck. Christie at 21 plus with a lot of first team starts on his cv is the more complete player just now. But not better in terms of overall potential, no. Link to comment

Aberdeen are miles behind a good Celtic side regardless of this loan. If it helps the chances of second or a good cup run then its a good thing. He will be an exciting player to watch. starryfish
He was an unused sub v Albion Rovers so dunno if that makes him cup tied or not? You'd like to hope not Link to comment

slinkyvagabond
Good player, nae quite sure where he plays exactly. Can he play wide? You could debate the merits of loaning players all day long but if he makes us stronger till the end of the season then fair enough I suppose. Given his age if his loan goes well he might return next season, you never know. Link to comment
maryhilldon
Im happy with him signing. Hopefully doesnt mean Hayes is offski. Link to comment
RAZOR
@@RAZORHave you seen him play and where do you think he will fit in the team (am waiting for the news report to load)Remember him having a good game against us up in Inverness. I suppose he could play anywhere. Great cover for the wide areas but I think he could fit in well behind RooDawg. Link to comment
