So you'd just leave us in no-mans land, managerless, would you. Great thinking. :dontknow:

I thought u wanted Calderwood sacked?

No for a number of reasons.

1. I want us to win a trophy
2. If Calderwood went then, McGhee would not be available.
3. I said I'd give Calderwood until Xmas, clean slate and all that, even though it's looking dire at the moment and the knife is fully sharpened!

I thought u wanted Calderwood sacked?

See above.

If we cannot guarantee a top notch replacement quickly after his departure we're going to be in sh1t street. The next appointment MUST be the right one

Hope the person suggesting roy aitken was on the wind up, regardless if he won the last trophy or not he was one of the major reasons we are in a feckin mess now.

To me the question is irrelevant as even if we lost to Ayr Calderwood would not resign or be sacked imo.

Martin Allen wouldn't touch us with a barge-pole. Next suggestion. :dontknow:

I'd rather have the Keith manager.

The English one is a feckin idiot.

No. His record to date and the dire football played is enough to jettison before we even play that game.

Shouldn't have been given the new contract.

I'm sure 'Angela' out of the commercial dept. could do a job as interim until a suitable replacement can be found.

If he went then who could we get in? Timing is critical.

I'd go for John Hughes. If he doesn't work out then keep going until someone does.

That's simple confirmation that vast majority want Jimmy to be next manager
to take us to a final - we want success and we want it soon.
Ayr away will not be a problem.

I always want Aberdeen to win but if losing the one match meant that Calderwood was to go I wud be happy! I mean i wud rather be knocked out by ayr and see him go sooner than be embarrassed in the semis again!

Absoultely not.

Unlike some I don't have any personal dislike for Jimmy or his style, just think he's not doing the job very well.

If he gets results and wins things then that'll be magic, unfortunately its not looking promising on that front.

So your surprised that we don't want to lose to Ayr Utd? Get a life, we want the Dons to win no matter who is in charge.

We also don't have to come up with names of replacements. With all businesses Plan B should be in place otherwise Miller should also be shown the door.

Nah, i think K9's saying that JMG'ers support the club first and foremost.

We tried the managerial merry-go-round pre Calderwood and where dod that get us? Nigh on relegated.
Stability is the key to success.

I'm certainly not in the JMG mob but nor the JIG. He has his deficiencies but without a suitable replacement lined up and ready to go, to sack JC would be suicide.

I clicked yes, but i mis-read the question.

I would like JC to fail, but I don't want Aberdeen to fail, so its a tough question really.

Keeping JC is suicide

But you haven't come up with ONE viable alternative. Come up with potentially excellent candidates that could really turn us around AND join us at that time, and you might have a decent case.

I know, but I have said, I want JC to fail BUT I do not want Aberdeen to fail. I'd much rather we got to a cup final and beat teams rather than JC failing to be honest.

Its a tough question because I'd like the guy to fail BUT I don't want Aberdeen to do the same! See my point?

Your point is you want your cake and eat it. The two things ain't mutually exlusive. For JC to fail, Aberdeen must fail.

No.

Piss poor budget, has comfortably kept a wee team in the league, plays the ball on the deck and has a go.

Absolutely worth the chance.
