Herouali0
2 points per game average - yes Keep it up and it'll be 76 by the end of the season. Link to comment
mavv1903
Yes 100% joint 2nd 4 points behind celtic..... Link to comment
StandFree1982
I'd easily have taken 34 points at the start of the season. Under McGhee we'd still have fucked that up and ended up struggling in the relegation zone. Link to comment

The Hulk
Yeah. United have done us a favour there. All we need to do now is take care of business; win all our remaining games and we'll be champions. 1 Link to comment
StandFree1982
Not surprising that everyone is going on about United being "title contenders" and we're ignored. We seem to be invisible to anyone south of Stonehaven. We could be playing in the Champions League final and united would get all the headlines for reaching the semis of the Scottish Cup. Stoney
Makes the failure to beat celtic at pittodrie all that more disappointing. Wonder how much celtic will spend in the next window. Link to comment

Yeah that last minute goal is a 3 point swing as was the stonewall penalty at Parkhead (taking we'd have scored it) Wonder who they'll lose? Van Dyk and Guidetti fucking off would be difficult replacements for them. We of course could also strengthen if we keep it reasonable close at the top. Link to comment
Redstar
I'd have taken just above St Mirren and Langfield on the bench...the fact we're third and only 4 points behind Celtic is kind of like Xmas come early... 1 Link to comment
Tord31
Yes of course would have taken it. Had forecast before the season that Celtic would not be the same unstoppable force and it was up to the other teams to step up and give us a title challenge. Big 5 games for the chasing pack coming up. I don't envisage Celtic buying any players that strengthen the first XI in January - hopefully they stay clear of injuries until the transfer window has been and gone. Link to comment

I dunno, losing a league without the old Rangers would be unthinkable for Celtic. It would also finish Deila as a manager. He would become unemployable. I think Celtic and Deila will be getting twitchy and I expect them to open their wallet. Crowds are also dwindling at Celtic Park - they'll probably feel they need to make a few signings to excite the fans... Link to comment
StandFree1982
The big question is - Will Milne give McInnes money to spend in January to push for the title? The answer will be a big NO. I do think we need to bolster our squad. We have a very very good starting 11 but we're very light for decent fringe players. Although we have Anderson, Flood and Low to come back, I still think we could do with a bit more quality on the bench. Link to comment

Van Dyk and Guidetti fucking off would be difficult replacements for them. We of course could also strengthen if we keep it reasonable close at the top. They always seem to get the luck. As long as we dont lose anybody im not fussed about any signings, could still be done with a left back. Link to comment

Also hopefully Arsenal or someone have a dodgy couple of weeks defensively and move in for their best player - Van Dijk. Link to comment
RUL
If Celtic sign anyone it will be low value signings i'd have thought, they are also pretty arrogant so won't feel under any pressure as it stands. Hopefully they will be distracted by the old firm semi final and europa league. The fact is, to win the title we will need some very big matches, by that i mean beating celtic home and away. It's not impossible but think we are probably 3 or 4 players away from that level. It's not even a case of signing players, our U20's are near the top of their league, if we could promote a couple of players over achieving at that level then you never know. Link to comment
E-P-K
Amazingly, in the next 8 1/2 weeks, Celtic only have 2 home league games, V Ross County and Motherwell. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/teams/celtic/fixtures Link to comment

Ke1t
I'd like to see us sign a Robson-esque player, only 5-10 years younger, to dictate the middle for us, with Flood steaming around alongside him breaking up opposition play and winning possession. A goalie might be a fantastic idea... and, oh aye... A FUCKING LEFT BACK. Aside from that, we don't seem too far off the team I'd like to see us with. We've some fucking excellent players in our team right now... we just need that creative catalyst. Link to comment
The Oxford Don
Would definitely have settled for what we have at this stage at the start of the season, with the obvious exception of the cup-tie at Dens. Even that was pretty unlucky... you could replay that game a dozen times, and we'd win eleven of them playing the way we did. Anyway if it served as a wake-up call then it was maybe worth the hefty price we paid. Link to comment
fine-n-dandy
Given our shitty dropped points earlier I am obviously happy with where we are now but (after last season) I would not have been happy if I was asked if I would be happy at this stage in the season to be on same points as Utd & have Caley & Hamilton sniffing up our arse also, so the awnser to the question for me is basically NO I would not have been happy as things stand if offered this at start of season. We should be extending away from the likes of Utd Caley & Hamilton (regardless of how close we are to celtic) & we haven't. We are however more consistent, so cannot grumble too much I suppose. Dandyesque
Aye Though it would be even better to have a Jim Bett type in midfield In contention for the league and still defending our trophy- can't really argue with that Link to comment

ollie1903
And drop Ryan Jack? I'm sure even Stoney, albeit through gritted teeth, would finally admit that Ryan Jack is now a vital part of our midfield. Link to comment
strachanmcgheegoal
Would I take it? Damn right! Utd to make sure we're not carrying the charge alone and Celtic complacent as fuck thinking they're world beaters but take out van dyke and put some pressure on deila who will surely crack and this could get very very interesting. Heids doon just now, pick up as many points as possible and 4-6 max off the top in March. Very very achievable and I don't think we've to spend big to give us a fighting chance. Link to comment
Ke1t
And drop Ryan Jack? Jack, Flood, A.N. Other, in whatever pattern through the middle, McGinn/Hayes out left, Pawlett on the right, with Rooney or Goodwillie as striker. (Presumably there are going to be injuries inna.) You can still have four at the back with a new LB and goalie... everybody gets a game. Link to comment
