strachanmcgheegoal
“ Looks to join the treble treble winners” I could understand. Hopes (only hopes!) to prevent a 6 year old club with zero trophies, virgin manager and questionable finances denying them the first trophy in ten? Really? 1 Link to comment
boboisared
Celtic have also signed an 'athletic' left-back... https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/48861383Allegedly in his unveiling interview he said he can't wait to meet the manager. Celtic may have entered the banter years. Link to comment

The Buzzard
Ach a wee ankle roll - no bother for the G Man; a wee splash of biofreeze and Robby is you mother's brother That's him fucked till November now. Link to comment
Guest the shepherd
Another who had a shocker yesterday. His positional sense at times is non existent at times. Scott McKenna and Andrew Considine bailed him.out quite a few times yesterday. Jist is definitely out I'm afraid. Link to comment
King Street Loon
I guess the question would be is "would you play him ahead of Considine if all our defenders are fit?" When I saw him after Hearts I thought yes definitely, but the last couple of games have made me doubt that call.I'm prepared to give him time to settle and get further up to speed after a stop start pre-season though.I believe he can be better, but needs work. Fingers crossed it works out for Greg Leigh and Aberdeen, of course, but I am sceptical. However, as you infer, he has plenty of time on his side in a position that had turned into a poisoned chalice ever since David Robertson left way back in 1991. Link to comment
Ernie McCracken
To be fair Max Lowe was all over the shop for the first few games. And even once he had settled in, he had the odd positional fuck up every now and then. Fingers crossed that Greg will settle in shortly. Link to comment
V for Vendetta
Yeah I think to some extent we need to give these guys a bit of time to settle. I'm not excusing the shit show of the last few games but it seems like we do occasionally sign guys who have potential that really needs developed. Happy to see how he progresses. Link to comment
strachanmcgheegoal
So we play to his strengths and push teams back? Do we fuck. Sit in and hang him out to dry just like every other “can-play-left-back” we’ve had in the period. Link to comment
boboisared
Wasn't so much angered with his positioning on Sunday but more with the fact he kept chipping the ball over the last defender and watching it bounce 30 yards off the surface and out for a goal kick. 1 Link to comment
JakieBastard
Am I the only one who has been quietly encouraged by him so far? Granted I've only watched a few games but he seems to have a good work ethic, tidy on the ball and is keen to get forward and support when he can. I thought he was one of the only players to get pass marks yesterday Still early days but I feel like I'm watching a different player to everyone else based on the comments in this thread! Ten Caat
He's probably good enough against your run of the mill SPL opposition. However I fear he will get found out against the arse cheeks. Didn't look great against Rijeka in either leg. Link to comment
Crossbow
He frustrated me yesterday. When he has time to pick a pass (and it looks like he has) more often it ends up being hooked up the left wing to no one in particular or simply back to the opposition. No doubting his enthusiasm to get down the line as well but it’d be neat if he could beat a man or make a pass. Link to comment

Tyzo_1903
I actually get the impression hed be better suited at centre half than left back, he seems good in the air and strong enough defensively, just on the ball let him down a lot yesterday (although I'm sure it was him that delivered the cross for Cosgroves winner). Early days though. He'll be solid enough for most games but agree the amount of times he lumped it up the wing to no one was infuriating, sadly he wasn't the only culprit of that yesterday. maryhilldon
Seemed to tie himself in knots a few times, losing balance when turning without any contact. Link to comment
super_al
Derek is right Aberdeen are not an easy team to play for. He has been solid and done very little wrong whilst also assisting two goals and scoring one himself this far. 1 Link to comment

King Street Loon
I actually think he's too left footed as weird as that sounds or seems. His inability to gather a pass on his right foot stunts the flow of a move. Seen it a few times now with him.I do think he'll do fine for us though given time to settle. Link to comment

Remove his threat of attack (as an arse cheek game no doubt will)and you remove 75% of that players effectiveness. Link to comment
OddJob
Agree I think he will turn out to be good and we really do need him to do that as can’t have Considine playing there if Devlin were to comeback in to the 11. Can’t say he’s looked as comfortable as Lowe yet but time will tell 1 Link to comment

JakieBastard
A lot of McInnes hate on here at the moment, but in both Leigh and Hedges he has made a couple of really good signings over last summer. Hedges seems like the player McGinn was when we first signed him and Leigh has been a complete revelation. Versatile, comfortable on the ball and with a proper engine on him. We need him signed up long term 1 Link to comment
