If they were still under 18 and needed your permission/signature?

Never argue with an I D I O T . They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

There was a guy on here, who used to post very regularly, who allowed his son to sign for Rangers!

My son has a deep mistrust of weegies so there's no chance of it happening.

Any father on here whose son would even consider such a proposition is lacking in even the most basic parental skills and should have their kid taken into care immediately.

Don't have a son but if i did & he even dared to consider going anywhere near either of the bigot brothers then he would be swiftly taken to the woods & shot.

Some might say thats a bit harsh but these things need nipped in the bud straight away.

I have actually turned down celtic for my oldest son. He plays for an edinburgh boys club so I wouldn't say we are holding out for Aberdeen to turn up the door.

"Son"? gender is a spectrum and we should not pigeon hole weirdos that want to play for sevco or the tims.

If they're good enough for Celtic, they're good enough for other Scottish clubs.

A form of child abuse exposing them to those bigoted cunts.

If they end up at Celtic boys club, statistically speaking, there's fair chance they'll be exposed to child abuse.

Would it be wrong for you (or preferably his coach) to bring your son to Aberdeen's attention?

My child will be getting sent to the Jamie Langfield school for goalkeepers that can't catch and do goals.

Good question that I'm not surprised Ollie is ducking.

I'd be delighted if my loon was considered good enough for the ugly sisters so having attained that level of achievement/ability I'd hardly hold him back, that's the first point.

BUT, and bearing in mind I know precisely zero about youth football structures, unless he had absolutely exceptional and hence outstanding talent I would have thought it would be easy for him to go into a Glasgow training structure and get lost, since it stands to reason there'll be another 200 just like him.  A bit like Jess I suppose.

I would have thought it would be 'better' for him if he stayed at home and got a decent training, upbringing and schooling in that less challenging environment assuming he could still get exposure to a decent level of football.

And then when he's good enough and they're both frothing to get him he can sign for Brentford for really big money instead.

If they even have to ask whether they should then you've failed as a parent.

Would it be good career advise to allow them to do that?

Or better to go to a club which nurtures its young players better perhaps?

I don't know if it's wrong but would imagine Aberdeen get a lot of similar requests.

For the record, my old boy told Rangers to do one when they came sniffing around me as a schoolboy footballer, so to say it wouldnt or doesnt happen is bollix.

Absolutely not my son has been brought up a Dons fan like me and now he is an adult follows them home and away. If he was good enough for them then he would be good enough for most clubs in Scotland. Apart from them being disgusting institutions the chances of him making the first team there would be lower than any other Scottish team. Real Dons fans wouldn't touch them with a shitty stick and would advise there kids likewise.

Depends on the people and the facilities.

This is one clear issue where the club does not = the fans.

If the coaching people seemed honest, fair and open, if the facilities were good and if senior trainees were decent people with good attitudes then yes.

If none/few of the above applied then I'd sooner send my son to smaller yet 'better' club.
