It's weird that a generation wanting to own their own house are slagging off an earlier generation for wanting exactly the same thing

Can you read? No one has raised an issue with someone owning their own house. I have raised an issue with folk owning multiple homes, renting them out for their own benefit, inflating the cost of properties and making homes more unaffordable for others.

I have a very good job and can afford my house, it doesn't affect me. I do however empathise with folk less fortunate. Who struggle by, paying high rents and being completely unable to save the money required for a deposit (no 100% mortgages available to folk these days...).

No you didn’t. Pipes asked what was wrong with renting out a flat you bought as a youngster. Nothing about “multiple homes” or high rents.

Edit: see you were at it earlier.

Still need to answer Pipes IMO.

So the bit about 'selfish' baby boomers 'taking the Tory bribe' wasn't slagging them off then?

It’s an issue of supply and demand. The lack of supply is what causes the rental prices to rise, while the same people who own many properties have an effect on planning and green belt development being strict.

The young can vote for more development. Instead they are on Instagram pretending to have a good time.

Your opinion on grammar or dialect are irrelevant here due to your provenance, Francis.

"Gads," when used with the correct parlance often describes the situation or object perfectly.

I got told the word Gads comes from the name of the pathway to the Gallows at the Gallowgate, called the gad, it used to get covered in the rotten fruit and veg thrown at folk away to be hung, so folk would point at something rotten and say gads min. So historically if correct, weegies should fuck off from commenting on our wonderful heritage. If untrue, the same point stands
