Is Hedges a LB in the same way Shinnie was (adaptable) but best used in midfield? Always believed he was a winger that would fire in the crosses. Same goes for Gallacher, used to playing RB or just punted there due to lack of options?

Gallagher was an attacking midfielder (no10) for notre damn uni. Atlanta changed him to be their sub right back but he's never actually played there for the first team

Don't mind having one of our full backs a winger against inferior opponents when we're hoping to be on the front foot for most of the game. Prefer an attacking full back like what Lowe was in comparison to a Considine who is more of a defender than an attack minded full back desperate to get forward and create chances etc. Didn't see the first leg but hoping this is a game where we can get away with having someone like Hedges play as a full back and maybe even benefit by having another attacking player on the pitch

Exactly my thoughts.

 

Better balance having Hedges playing there than shunting Logan over to the left and playing the American dude at right back.

 

Also one square peg in a round hole instead of 2.

 

Hedges is a young quick lad. I'm sure he can cope at left back for one game against this lot.

Hedges didn't look all that good playing there (more of a left wing back tbh). Probably more significantly, he didn't look all that keen being shunted back there either

He doesn't have 3 fit centre backs.

He's barely got 3 match fit central midfielders.

He hardly ever plays 2 up front.

I'd like to think our manager isn't going to drop our top scoring striker because he missed some chances in a couple of games very early in the season, all to placate a bunch of folk who are desperate for their prophecy of him being a one season wonder to come true.

I wouldn't expect many changes for this, at least 8 players could hypothetically have to play 120 mins so we're not going to fill the team with guys who haven't played much.
