Atmosphere

Recommended Posts

You go along to Pittodrie nowadays and it is like a coffee morning. Abody is sitting having a chat with their mates about holidays, cars, work etc etc etc. Too busy doing that to try generate any kind of atmosphere.

Those that do talk about the football fall in to one of two categories:

- Football pundit who feels like they need to give a running commentary to every bit of the game, talking about systems and channels and such like.

- Rabid fan with blood vessels popping at the slightest thing

Probably complained about it at the time, but seemed to get a lot more in the RDU when the Red Ultras were on the go up there.

Can only imagine the atmosphere will be positive powder-keg-esque in the new flat pack arena

see it now; flares, bus attacks, street drinking, scraps and half and half scarf vendors.

Thank or lucky stars were nae moving to the middle of nowhere

:)

Here Bluto, have a pint of probably the finest lager in the world on me for that neat piece of nippy satire.

Chatting about last nights Premier League game, and why Manchester United have been so poor recently.

Sitting on their phones checking the latest Premier League results, then getting excited because Arsenal have scored against GuffTown United in the Nigel Cup.

None of that happens at the edge of the Y.

There are some dodgy flat caps though

Atmosphere at pittodrie has always been shite, get funny looks every time you try to get something going like you are an absolute maniac.

But in fairness pittodrie is a shite ground that doesnt really allow for an atmosphere, too windy too cald and noise just gets lost.

Plus the fact that we are just a bunch of miserable aberdonians..

We moan about the fact that we havent had a result against the old firm yet, yes we do our bit by showing up but we dont really bring much with us apart from our werthers originals and doom and gloom faces. Maybe if we made a bit of noise and the players could hear something other than IRA pish being belted from the away end they might get a bit of a lift.

The plot thickens. The guys from "the display team" say it was them that suggested it to the club, and rather than ask them to do it they've ignored them, announced the idea, and advertised for their own flag bearers.

Are the virgin brigade going to boycott it like they did the singing section? Oh no.
