The Ryan Fraser Clause

Recommended Posts

It remains active. The only way we lose out is if he never moves or goes for free. No matter how many new contracts he signs, makes no difference to the sell on fee. If that was the case clubs would just give players new deals as soon as they got in the door.

This is not correct. Plenty of sell on clauses have time limitations in them, normally the length of the initial contract signed.

So do you know intimate details of his contract or are you just guessing?

Do you know if there were a time constraint put in his first Bournemouth contract then

Or is this an assumption as well

Yes I know for a fact some sell on clauses expire and some will roll over as long as the player is at the club. As for Fraser, no idea which.

GDon21 was stating aa fact the clause was still active for as long as he stays at Bournemouth. I was merely pointing out exactly what you're saying, that you cant know that without knowing the details of his particular contract.

I don't even know what's in my work contract to be honest...wife, lol.

Thought that the strangest thing 2nd top assisted behind hazard in the premier and was one of the highest scoring wingers in the league as well,no being funny but a bit of casual racism in my opinion!,with figures like he had last year there’s no way he should have been overlooked in the domestic market never mind the foreign, i just think they’ve looked at him, his statistics and went great wee player who does he play for, Bournemouth and Scotland sir!!,aaaawww fuck that was the retort

Depends on circumstances. A club might be desperate to bring a winger in if they have one of their own out long term.

Perhaps but not at £15-20million. At best he would be worth £1million at that point, bearing in mind his current contract is very likely to be one of the worst paid ones in the EPL (maybe rising to £3million if 2 or 3 clubs could be tempted into a bidding war), but more than likely the player himself would prefer just to sit out his contract until it ends and collect a far higher signing on fee  than he would have got had the new club been forced to pay a transfer fee on top.

I agree with the general point but I think you could possibly get more than 1 million in the inflated English Market.
