90 days til "Day Zero", when water service to homes will be cut and residents will have to queue at one of 200 municipal water taps to pick up their water ration.  (except the wealthy folk, of course)

This will be an interesting case study for the rest of us as to how things will play out in many places around the globe: Las Vegas, LA come to mind immediately.

it's definitely going to be interesting to watch. from a distance.

surprisingly (to me, anyway), Brazil is the country with the most available fresh water.  :omg:

Data is total renewable water resources (km3 per year estimated). The TRWR is calculated from: average precipitation, internal resources (surface & groundwater) and external resources (natural & actual).

That link ^ is a bit deceptive though isn't it? America is in the top 5 but Vegas and LA will be in serious trouble as I guess would many parts of China that aren't hooked up to Tibetan streams?

deceptive inasmuch as it's a listing of what's available by country, aye. and it doesn't say how easily sourced/transported the water is.  one can imagine the US will be looking north to get their hands on some of Canada's fresh water supply at some point not too far in the future.
