The European hangover is an over done excuse imo. For the 6 or so games that are in the same GW as a league game, clubs like us should be competent enough at building a squad capable of filling in & rotating. The reason we couldn’t was due to fucking up recruitment, including having absolutely no cover for our 30+ year old skipper.

Not many in the dons support to be fair, just a few predictable voices from some in the media. Leven has steadied things and will get us over the line with a few games spare and the new guy will come in with a full pre season and chance to build a squad, so not sure what the big issue is. Ideal if possible for JT came in with a few games to go to settle in, but we’ve got another big overhaul regardless so don’t think it makes as much of a difference. The ironic thing is we are constantly criticised for taking short term decisions with management but then criticised by the same people for waiting until the end of the season to appoint who the club are being deliberate to say is someone that needs time/for the long term.
