disgrace of a decision, GGG won that fight well yet one spastic judge has it 118-110 in favour of Canelo, horrible corrupt bastards.

It's up there with the worst decisions in boxing history, canelos own fans were booing him at the end.

I can't believe what happened. Big bet on Golovkin, and that happens. How the fuck could that be 118-110?! Laughable.

Canelo landed more punches than people think... maybe wasn't as 1 sided as I thought at 4am when shattered.

I'd agree with that. Nearly every clean dig landed was Alvarez. However Golovkin won at least 8 rounds IMO.

Rio Ferdinand is expected to announce on Tuesday morning that he intends to become a boxer and will be seeking a boxing license.

Why would a 38 year old ex football player want do this ?.

Great fight but crazy scorecard! She must have been the only one in the whole arena that had Canello winning 10 rounds to 2!

Too many people moaning that it was a draw. I think if she called it 114 to 114 like the other judge and it was a draw by majority decision, that would have been ok as there were lots of close rounds.

The fight was supposed to save boxing and I feel sorry for the fighters, they produced a great fight, only for judges to ruin it.

For me there needs to be an overhaul of the judging process, maybe 5 or even 9 judges for big fights to lessen the impact of rougue cards. More ex fighters judging would help also.

Also the absolute midden of different governing and sanctioning bodies need to be sorted. Boxing needs one rule maker and each weight class one world champion with a clear path to the top for anyone good enough. World Series of boxing is a step in the right direction .

No, it really isn't. It was a very, very close fight, that could've went either way.

Canelo landed more punches than people think... maybe wasn't as 1 sided as I thought at 4am when shattered.

It wasn't one-sided at all. Just because Golovkin was the aggressor, it doesn't mean he was the better boxer.

Agree with all of that. It was a very close fight. It Byrd had called it to Canelo by one or two rounds, there would be zero fuss. Calling it to either of them by 8 rounds is outrageous. More judges would help IMO, although it's still so open to interpretation. For example, on Saturday Golovkin was definitely the more aggressive fighter, he took it to Canelo. However, all the best/cleanest shots were from Canelo. Canelo was able to switch his boy side on and make GGG miss or land shots that weren't clean pretty much every exchange. So how do you score that? For me, hand skills and landing punches is more important than aggression.

I do think a lot of folk who're whining need to go and watch the fight again more closely, without the commentary team, and assess the punches landed in each exchange.

I usually try to keep a track of what the score is in my head so I have an idea of who is winning by the championship rounds.

At least 2 rounds I have no idea who won, and a lot of others very close so gave up. Watching live I had no idea who the victor was.

GGG definitely the aggressor but didn't land too many clean shots whereas Canello threw less but his shots more eye catching.

My friends who are not big boxing fans were convinced GGG won easily but I was constantly telling them that not a lot was landong clean and Canello was landing a lot of quality counters.

I think compubox had him landing a higher percentage?

Close fight, bring in the rematch. I think GGG knows what Canello is all about now so won't start as slowly, will be war from R1!

Decent night of boxing tomorrow.  Parker v Fury in Manchester then Linares v Campbell in LA later on.

Hopefully Parker beats the pikey and wish campbell well but fear he's way out of his depth.  Reckon Linares wins inside 7 or 8 rounds, he's absolute quality

I quite like Hughie Fury, but I thought he was much older than 23!

Apparently he's been fighting half fit with some sort of skin condition and is now 100% fit.  IF that's true than he's done well to land a title shot and could maybe spring a surprise.

Fury vs Parker was anything but a decent fight.

Absolutely fucking awful. A know Joshua has his flaws but would absolutely batter those 2

Fury was unlucky in a scrappy affair. Parker was clueless most of the fight.

Was a pretty crap fight like - spent most of it trying to stay awake. Joshua would destroy both of them, probably at the same time.

Aye Campbell did much better than i thought he would.  Pretty close, the knockdown just about shaded it for Linares imo

If he had is nut screwed on in the first 3 it could've been a win for Campbell.

Once he gets another crack at a world, at home or away, he knows what to do from the first round.

Missed the ggg fight but watched a YouTube recap on punches scored per round and ggg looked good for the win, but it's vegas and a rematch was always wanted. I always remember the shocking card on on the mayweather canelo fight, judges shmudges.

George Foreman Has Challenged Steven Seagal To An Open-Rules Fight

Foreman posted a tweet earlier challenging Seagal to a 10-round, one-on-one match where Foreman would use boxing and Steven could use whatever he wanted.

And why not.

Chris Eubank Jr will defend his IBO World Title against Avni Yildirim on Saturday night. ... The fight is expected to get underway at around 10pm so expect the ring walks just before that. ... Eubank's title defence will be again shown live on ITV Box Office.

Should be a good fight.

That was devastating from Chris Eubank Jr.

3 rounds of boxing and it's all over.

Connor Benn was also very impressive. Nae sure how much of a test the boy was supposed to be like, barely threw a punch and was battered soft in record time. Hopefully Burns silences the MEN arena.

How much did ITV box office charge for that fight?

Cholla just edged the other fight although neither could have complained at a draw. Carl Froch is a really annoying commentator.

No idea how much ITV charged, watched it on UltimateMania.

Was £9.95 which isn't that bad for a PPV, I'm not Eubanks biggest fan but was an impressive stoppage last night, just a shame the boy Yildirim wasn't capable of blocking uppercuts, might've gave himself half a chance.

The PPV buys for Eubank must of been woefully low with Burns Crolla fight at same time.

Eubank Snr being the trumpet he is this morning on Talksport. Joey Barton saying what everyone thinks and actually made good points and the dumb cunt CE Snr couldn't see past himself on the points and hung up. Moron.
