The Boofon
Running aroon the helideck has been outlawed these days. Usually crank up the speed about 8 secs before the end of the walking minute so its there or there abouts for the full minute. What about slowing down? I do a similar type of thing but I have the treadmill cranked up at 15 degree incline and keep the speed steady and for the minute resting period I just step off to the side. Find that a lot easier than fucking about reducing speed and incline to take the rest period. Just step back on very tentatively. It is an absolute cunt of an exercise workout. Link to comment

Just slow it down on the minute, only takes about 10 secs for it to level it back to 6.8. So you're probably only walking about 45 secs in total but you're getting your full minute sprint. It is a cunt but least its only a cunt for 20 odd minutes, plus its meant to keep your body burning fat for a while after. Link to comment
dave_min
If you can be arsed, you can program the custom settings on the treadmill to do it automatically. It's not worth the hastle though. Link to comment

hopeisimportant
Did my 2nd Hazelhead Parkrun at the weekend. Forgot my bloody barcode and they wouldn't let me nip home to get it. Still, don't know exact time but looking at the leaderboard I knocked at least 1min 20s off my last time. I didn't enjoy it at all though, I think without the first time excitement it just felt like a chore. Maybe that's why I was faster, I just wanted to get finished and go home. Oh, and I said above I forgot my barcode. That was until I put my hand in my pocket on my way home and found it in my pocket. Moron. Link to comment

Anyone partaking? The physio at my work is doing the 10k 'too busy to train' she's been saying. Why anyone in their 20's needs to train for a 10k is beyond me. Link to comment
