Hearns was my favourite of the 4 kings as well in fact he's my all time favourite boxer. Brilliant fighter especially like you say at Light Middle where he was an absolute monster.

My second to The Dark Destroyer - Nigel Benn.

FAO all Dandies in Syria, Lebanon, Israel & Egypt.

I have negotiated this match on to the big screen, with volume up, at Woody's Inn, Protaras.
Feel free to sweem across and watch with a fellow Dandy.
Pintage is on me. x

What’s your beef with the Jordanian Dons?

Yeah they don't make them like Hearns or Benn anymore that's for sure. Benn was my favourite British fighter of that era.

Aye, he’s not refereeing tonight.
Some excuse will be announced but the greetin faced huns will have put too much pressure on him
and he’s been pulled to take the heat off.

Alan Muir is his replacement

Win 4th, lose 8th. Big game. Think it'll give the squad a hell of a boost to finally get back in amongst it at the top end should we win. Languishing in 8th after 12 games really ain't a good look for us.

I’d be interested to see a diagram of controversial Hun ref decisions versus where/what division/if they reffed the following week.

To be fair not surprised Willie’s pulled oot (fnaar). Sure he likes his windows just as they are. Or have they moved onto last night’s linesman?

Pulled out himself, or been pulled out by the SFA?

Would imagine the latter...

Takes me back to 1988, and two games v Rangers. The Durrant dive game, and the following clash at Ibrox, where Willie Miller refused to go to the referee, when instructed. Bookings only handed out to Simmie, and Willie.

The two refs involved, whose names escape me, were then "demoted" for a few games, as punishment..............

Pity his old man didn't pull out. But good news for us.

Given Collum's background, that would presumably have been a mortal sin for his old man.

The ibrox game was either Syme or one of the Hope brothers.

Blowing a gale out there. This will disrupt our elegant, free flowing, passing game. McInnes will have to change our approach by hoofing the ball up the park towards a lone striker and settle for a goal from set play. Ah well, needs must.

At least the accompanying torrential rain, that was forecast, looks like it won't arrive till 11pm

The Northern Lights of old Aberdeen

Mean home sweet home to me

The Northern Lights of Aberdeen

Are what I long to see

I've been a wanderer all of my life

And many a sight I've seen

God speed the day when l'm on my way

To my home in Aberdeen!!
