We will be patient. The reason we have turned on the manager in 3 months is because they have been shocking appointments from the get go. This is completely different. From what I’ve read people said we should be aiming for third not that it’s a certainty. Where do you think we will finish next season?

Not sure Celtic or Rangers would pay the money for shankland. Prob be a few championship teams in England looking at him. More chance of them keeping him than us keeping Bojan. Now that he’s won player of year Hearts will want more for him. Will someone pay the money they want?

still find it wild Angus wasnt played under Robson or even Warnock. Defence was a disgrace and still never chucked him in for a proper run.

I think it’s the best midfielder in Europe chosen by Italians. It does favour Serie A but iniesta and Xavi have won it before.

I assume tempting Thelin came with a big budget in the summer. We are most likely both losing our best player. Hearts came up from the championship and finished third. It’s not difficult if you make the right signings. Look what Killie done this season having almost got relegated last season. We almost sneaked into the top 6 this season and we have been absolutely abysmal for 2/3 of the season. We definitely should be aiming for third and if we fall short by a place or 2 then so be it. We are in it for the long haul!

Hamilton and Marshall may be ready to be part of the squad but they are knowhere near the first 11 imo. I thought Carroll and Boyd were the picks for their age they stood out as they took boys on. I think since Boyd and Carroll have committed we may see them on bench in last game for first team. I only seen second half and was pretty disappointed in Hamilton. Zero point in having them in squad and doing a Duncan and wasting an entire season. They have to be playing. My gut feeling is that Bavidge should be loaned out too as I assume we will spend a big amount (in our terms) on a bojan replacement, even if he dosnt hit the ground running due to investment he will be given a lot of minutes. Even if it was a 6 month loan to a champ side then revaluate. I don’t see any of above benefiting from being part of first team next season as I don’t see them playing enough. Bavidge getting 5 mins at end of a game is complete waste of time.

The worry is that we have to wait till June to have the conversation. It’s also most likely the brief for our head of recruitment has changed dramatically. Will the players match Thelins philosophy that have already been identified? I like what I’ve read regarding the HoR but it’s not ideal circumstances. Intrigued to see how this summer goes. While we are no great shakes I think it shows we are capable under a semi competent manager. Hopefully we let go of all the out of contract players and your Morris, Richardson types. We then have a lot of space in squad to fill with Thelin type players. I’m hopeful if we get it right next season is a quicker turn around then many suggest as we will be signing quite a lot of players. If we can get 50% of the signing right we will push on for top 4 or 5 as minimum.

Going by reports absolutely hopeless again today. Only got the sponsors Man of the Match. Needs to do more.
